We should make the gatling gun thread sticky. That way people can get all the GG info they need in one place. It'd be easier for those of us who build them, and those of us who need ideas and those of us that like to gawk.
*grumbles about lack of digicam*

As a matter of fact, I have a Sabre Tiger I was customizing. It was supposed to be a Schubaltz Custom, and I got most of the paint job done. Im still working on the gattling guns, but I've found that CAPS for those little kids' cap guns work surprisingly well. Just break em open and use one side to insert the barrels into. I've got the barrel for mine done, and now I just have to find something to attatch it to the Zoid... Maybe now i should actually finish it....

Dry Markers and mechannical pencils can also make tube style thrusters and stuff...the key is sawing them off.

Plastic card styrene strips, a hobby knife, a metal ruler, some plastic cement and some sandpaper!

BTW, if you want to make it turn, you can use the 6 mm spring they sold in toolerie/ironmongery shop!!!!! BTW2, in some gatling CPs, they dont put the little part you fix to the rotating engine and where to fix the spring; i discover that bio "caps" match perfectly to fix the springs!!!! RAÙL

hey the drill you were talking about is called a pin vice but i think the bits would be too small for what you intend to do

If you save the sprue tree from a previous zoid, you can cut-out the cylinder parts along the edge and glue them together to form a small gatling gun. They are perfect for smaller zoids like Hel Digunner.

Glue them together how? You'd still need something making it a circle, wouldnt you? And holes in the ends

Sorry for not being clear. You cut out 7 cylinders. 6 for the guns, and 1 for the base. Then you glue the entire base and stick the other cylinders around it (very messy). And since it's not very large, you can get away with no holes. I added duct tape rings to stablize it.

that might work okay, at least for little things like dimantis' gatling.. but you wouldn't be able to spin it, and I think it'd be quite hard to get it arranged in a perfect circle

You can get a custom-made gattling to spin, provided you have the connector attached. You can fashion one out of a Blox connector joint, but it has to be a good fit with any coilspring's attachment point that will do the turning of the gattling. Of course a custom job will not be that perfect, otherwise there wouldn't be a need to DIY things like these.

You still wouldn't be able to spin it unless it was mounted on an axle of some kind

Yes, and creating the axle is the least of the problems if you can build the actual gattling from scratch.
