PART 1
...And thus, the Helic Republic had finally died. The final blow from Neo-Guylos had crippled it and caused it to recycle itself down to nothing. However, new, more powerful forces had risen from it's ashes...
"It is finished," said Lt. Justing, standing on the smoking remains that were once the mighty republican army.
"This is Lt. Xavier Justin of the Neo-Guylos army. Come in, Neo Atlantica..."
"Copy you, Lieutenant"
"Thank you for your help. We are returning to base."
"We will make sure that none of the residual forces try to follow you. Over and out."
Neo Atlantica drove on while Neo-Guylos slowly began on the long journey back to their base. Something didn't feel right, though.
LATER...
"Sir, permission to speak freely," said Lt.- Cpt. Justin
"at ease, Cpt." said commanding officer Braise
"Have I ever told you about my brother?"
"I don't believe so, captain, but I fail to see how it warrants my interest."
"Well, I suppose not. I don't talk about him often. Anyway, I haven't spoken to him for awhile. Not since the accident..."
"...what accident?"
"..Oh, never mind. Well, I've heard rumors that there is a small, anti-empire force that is growing in one of the lesser continents. He's spoken to me before about joining the republic, and I think he may have joined that small force."
"What small force?"
"The LPH Republi-"
"-The LPH Republic is a rumor. It doesn't exist."
"It would seem so, sir, if I didn't have proof."
"...Oh? You have proof?"
"Yes sir. Look at these schematics I found in the republic's computer system."
Cpt. Justin pulled out a small device, pressed a few buttons, and a picture and text appeared on the screen."NRZ-001 Scylord" was the header.
"This is a republic zoid," said officer Braise.
"Ah, but look at the label on it. Behind the head. It's a little hard to make out."
"...LPHZ-001"
"Exactly."
"The LPH Republic."
"Exactly."
"...Then why does the header say 'RZ'?"
"Read this. It says that they were planning on purchasing it from a one 'Lt. Hunter'"
"We must find this 'Lt. Hunter'."
"I know his location. Knowing where he is will point us directly to the LPH Republic."
"We must prepare. If we attack soon, we can stop the LPH force from getting any larger. The last thing we need is a whole nother army full of bloody ligers."
He hated ligers.
"Yes sir, but keep in mind that you pilot Brastle Tiger, very similar to ligers."
"don't push your luck, Captain."
"Sorry, sir"
he snickered.
"You should be. I will let the others know and plan our attack."
"Yes sir."
Xavier proceeded to leave the room. The months wore on. The Narei sisters continued to drop hints to him. He couldn't engage in a relationship. Not after the accident. Besides, he was too concerned about his brother and the LPH Republic.
"Cpt. Justin!"
"Yes, sir!"
"I must speak to you."
"Yes sir. What do you want?"
"I just thought I would let you know that we sent out a convoy of Gustavs carrying newly-developed weapon systems. I'm putting you on call. If there is a problem, I want you to be there at a moment's notice."
"Um, sir, why can't I just accompany the convoy?"
"Because the cargo is highly classified. I can't have you sneaking peeks at it."
"sir, I helped build GilSaurer. I lead us to victory at the Republican base. What reason have you not to trust me?"
"Just do as I say, Captain!"
"Yes, sir."
Sure enough, a distress signal was recieved roughly 2 hours later.
"C5A to base! C5A to base! We're...attack! We...need....backup! send backup!....No-....st....w...." static.
Cpt. Justin was immediately sent to the location of the convoy. When he arrived, he was awestruck. It was a scene of sheer carnage. Parts from the gustavs lied about, the pilots lay dead in their cockpits, and smoke and fire of a hellish nature covered the area. The cargo was missing.
"Sir, this is Cpt. Justin reporting from the convoy. Send medical help and a salvage team."
dear lord, he though to himself.
what could have caused something like this?
The medical team arrived shortly and began to search the area.
"Sir, we found no survivors."
"bloody hell...what do you think could have done this?"
"I don't know, sir. Wait a minute...sir, you might want to come take a look at this."
He saw something on a segment of the gustav's armor.
"They look like letters, sir"
"Yes...it looks like...L...P...H...Oh my God..."
PART 2
"So, what are we dealing with, here?"
"I don't know, sir," said Cpt. Justin
"Perhaps the SOS message can reveal something."
"Excellent idea, Captain."
They proceeded to the data archives and played back the message.
"Hey, what's that pulsing-humming sound? Play it again."
He heard it again.
"I know that sound..."
"What is it, Cpt.?"
"I believe that is the sound of projectile DHBs, sir. Dark Hunter Blades."
"So that explains the blade wounds."
"The only zoids capable of wielding DHBs are Lord Gale and Scylord."
"Yes."
"and the standard Lord Gale is out of production."
"Yes."
"And Scylord belongs to the LPH Republic."
"...Yes."
"So we must find out where the LPH Republic's base is."
"...Yes, I know. But if the rumors I've heard are true, than the LPH Republic's base is mobile."
"Hm? Mobile? Like a Whale King or Dragoon Nest?"
"worse. Seimo Omega."
"oh...um...so how can we attack something that big?"
"We will have to swarm it. GilSaurer's Powercells are still charging."
"...I know what we could do, sir!"
"Hm? I'm listening."
"It would involve me speaking to the Narei sisters, though."
He cringed at the thought of it.
"Are you suggesting we mass produce Demantis CS?"
"Yes I am."
So the Narei sisters were spoken to, Demantis CS mass-produced, the location of Seismo Omega determined, and the fleet prepared. The fleet was huge. It was a swarm worthy of carrying the Neo-Guylos logo. The leader carried a hack bomb to disable the security systems. They would have to destroy Seismo Omega from the inside. The fleet moved out.
Very shortly they arrived to where Seismo Omega was supposed to be.
"Where is it? It's on radar, but visuals pick up nothing!"
"Firing Hack Bomb."
The hack bomb was launched. It hurtled through the air leaving a twisting trail of dust in it's wake. And then it exploded in midair. A few seconds later, something flickered, and finally it appeared.
It was a Seismosaurus, but there was something different about it.
"Oh my lord," said one of the pilots.
"It's enormous..."
Indeed it was enormous. It would have rivaled the titan zoids of ancient Zi.
"Alright! All units, charge!!!"
Immediately the fleet of Demantises, like mosquitos against Seismo Omega, shot at it like killer bees. They landed on it and began crawling towards it's head. Through it's head and down the runway through it's neck the fleet advanced. They wreaked havoc, blasting and slashing everything they saw. They caught the base completely off guard. Soon they reached the core room. There were several security armor layers around the housing. Promptly the system was disabled and the layers slid back, revealing a glass panel. Behind the panel was the Zoid core. The leader broke through the glass and fired a single shot into the core. It glowed bright red for a moment, but then faded until it was a dead grey color.
A shockwave echoed throughout the base. The swarm began to move out. They could feeling Seismo Omega slowly collapsing. They finally reached the neck, blasting a hole through the armor, and began flying out. They looked back and saw Seismo Omega going up in smoke and flame, crumbling as it did. Thus ends the LPH Republic, thought one of the pilots.
PART 3
"What do you mean 'it got away'?" asked Captain Justin, who wasn't quite sure to make of the situation.
"I mean, as the base was collapsing, something flew away at incredible speed. We were unable to persue it, sir."
"Great. Just great. Probably Scylord."
"One can only speculate, sir."
Indeed, it was Scylord. Lt. Hunter, or Lord Hunter as he was called now, had escaped from the crumbling remains of Seismo Omega. Neo-Guylos continued to strike LPH bases, but there always seemed to be more, and they could never catch the Scylord. Then, all of the sudden, the LPH Republic seemed to cease to exist. This brought a cloud of uneasiness to the Neo-Guylos Empire. Nobody knew what would happen next. Days passed...
"Sir, We're picking up several objects on radar!"
"Wh...What!?! What do you make of them?"
"The vast majority of them appear to be some sort of ligers, sir..."
"Hrmmmmm..."
He hated ligers.
"They're coming in fast...wait a minute,"
"What's wrong?"
"I'm picking up the beacon placed on the cargo we lost months ago..."
"The Storm Chaser units? Great, they must have worked them into the liger bases."
"I suggest we take immediate action, sir."
Immediate action was taken. Scissorbreaker was deployed, along with the rest of the Neo-Guylos army. They flooded out in front of the base in a panic stricken croud. They stopped, and Cpt. Justin hailed Lord Hunter.
"LPH Republic representative, this is Xavier Justin, Captain of the Uzumaki task force of the Neo-Guylos army. Surrender or be destroyed!"
Lord Hunter could be seen in the cockpit of Scylord. He said nothing, but thrust his hand forward, unleashing his army upon the Neo-Guylos forces.
"Charge!!!" Commanded Cpt. Justin, and the battle began. It was a fierce battle, but with little carnage. Neither side was inflicting any damage.
"Lord Hunter!" Called Cpt. Justin to Lord Hunter.
"It seems that our forces are equal. Why don't we settle this conflict personally?"
Hearing the two leaders communicating, both armies ceased fire and withdrew. Scissorbreaker and Scylord were left facing eachother, their eyes glowing with suppressed fury. After several moments of stairing and analyzing, they finally let loose. They caused considerable damage to eachother in the fury of claws, teeth, and blades. It seemed like Scissorbreaker had the upper hand, until the DHBs were deployed. Scylord jumped back, thrust it's arms out, and the DHBs were sent spinning through the air. They flew at Scissorbreaker at alarming speed, and it could do all but dodge them. They clipped one of the Scissor Arms, and punctured the Zoid core. Scissorbreaker roared, fell to the ground, writhed once, then died. The LPH republic had won. Lord Hunter beconed to his army, Scylord turned and limped away, then took to the air. The LPH army followed. Xavier Justin lay in the cockpit, unconcious. The canopy had welded shut. He was presumed dead, as very little people survive a core explosion shockwave. When he came to, the armies had both gone. "Cpt. Justin to Neo-Guylos! Cpt. Justin to Neo-Guylos!" Nothing but static. "Damn! Er...Cpt. Justin to Commanding Officer Brass! Cpt. Justin to Commanding Officer Brass!" Static. He was stranded. A day passed. He was hungry, tired, weak, and hopeless. He now realized that he was going to die. He found this very hard to cope with, and sat and stared off into space contemplating this. But then, the control panel lit up. The light spread throughout the cockpit, and finally all over Scissorbreaker. It became brighter and brighter. Cpt. Justin shielded his eyes with his hand. He could now feel Scissorbreaker rising off of the ground, until it hovered in place. The light grew ever brighter until, finally, an explosion. Scissorbreaker shook violently. Another explosion. Then another. One after the other the explosions continued to ignite, as if something was trying to defibrillate it. But soon, the light dimmed back into the control panel, and Scissorbreaker again collapsed. It was now black. Xavier now saw dark clouds forming in the sky. They grew darker and blocked out the sun. Lightning began to strike Scissorbreaker, and the electricity was sent coursing through Xavier's body, and he was again knocked unconcious. The electricity continued to envelope Scissorbreaker. When the smoke and electricity finally cleared, it stood with it's eyes and blades glowing with renewed energy, it's armor black with red markings. Scissorbreaker had died. Scissorbreaker Jet had been born.
