Was just browsing around and I discovered some cool CGI short movies someone made. They're very well done, Deserter is my favorite. FYI the site is in Japanese. They take a while to load, but I think it's worth the wait. www1.dnet.gr.jp/~houndfox/cgrack/movie.htm

That Deserter was fantastic! I really --really-- enjoyed that. I gotta run an errand but I look forward to checking the others out. Much thanks for that lnk!

apologies for the slight thread res but seeing as this is a general it seems like the most appropriate place to ask in like 2008 2009 maybe even earlier than that someone had made an AMV to this song > www.youtube.com/watch?v=j8_EJADrd_0does anyone remember who/where i could find it? for reference it was all CC/GF shots. i watched it more times than i can count on my fingers and i always visualize it when that comes up on my playlist haha

Tracked down this after seeing it used as a background image on Youtube. The artist is from the Ukraine and doesn't appear to have any connection with Zoids, but there are so many Zoid-y elements in that picture if you look closely - the leg armour, the shoulder caps, the face fins, the pipes on its back...

It's hard to say what medium he really used... it says Photoshop and Air, but also Maya using Mental Ray as a renderer. If so, he must have grabbed dozens of 3D models and picked them apart, then assembled this piece and rendered it. The quality really looks like a physical kitbash.
