It appears I have the honor of posting the first piece of fan art on this forum ;D I'll get to the point: I'm not a big fan of the Leo Blaze. Cool name, but I'm not impressed by the model. So, I slightly redesigned it to look a little more like the classic Ligers. This was my first attempt at drawing mecha, so I'm hoping it looks plausable. You can find it at: www.geocities.com/tgcsilver/Leo-Blaze.jpgPlease copy and paste as clicking on the link will most likely lead to an error page (stupid geocities!). Enjoy.

Minor Error- You're missing the Leoblaze's cockpit.
Minor Error 2- It looks more like the Liger Zero.
It looks good regardless.

I left the cockpit out on purpose. It's now located in the head. And I used the Liger Zero as a model for the body.

Nice shading and good sense of depth-that's one of the things about mechanical critters I have the most trouble with.
It might look a bit more Leoblaze-ish if it were wider-I think that's what's making it look more Zero-ish. Leoblaze is more low to the ground...of course, if you were getting rid of that on purpose, never mind.

Uh, could you be a little more specific? I won't do a better job next time if I don't get some criticism now. Don't worry about being harsh if you need to. If I can't handle criticism, then I have no right posting something on the web. Of course, there's a difference between being a constructive critic and being brutal Well, I did want it taller than the actual Leo Blaze, but I hadn't thought of the width. I'm very bad at drawing mecha myself so I printed a picture of Zero from the Web Comic and used it as a starting point. I'm much better at drawing people. The goal was to create a more realistic Leo Blaze for New Century (in accordance with a fan fic I'm writing). I didn't want to just enlarge the Leo Blaze's existing design; I wanted to try to improve upon it. I didn't like the back-mounted cockpit, and I guess I wasn't a fan of how short it was either. If I do another Zoid, I'll pay more attention to width. Anyway, a good first try, I think. But I'm doing a person next.

To make it look more Mecha-ish add some hoses near the joints. I understand if its self contained within the armour it'd just make in more authentic.
Other than that its good. It looks more like the Liger Zero X to me. Keep up the good work!

The leg armor reminds me of the liger zero phoenix?

But you should have used Leo Blaze's tail sword instead, it would have probably looked more like the leo Blaze.
