The opposite of the last post. What do you like about the animes? For example: I like the animation of the zoids. They almost look like they are cell shaded...

They are cel shaded CGI, aside from a few hand-drawn shots in the first three series. I love cel shaded CGI stuff, it should be used more.
CC...like I said, the adventure episodes are fun. Clichéd or not, I like a lot of the characters, and things like the white Gordos ep that let you get a look at what the war leaves behind make me very happy.
GF I like the random filler or not-really-main-plot-except-that-Hiltz-shows-for-five-seconds eps...things like the Empreror's Holiday, The Zoid Hunters, the Riese stuff...if it had reveled in the spirit episodes like that had, I think I'd have loved it as a cheesy superherolike Zoids show.
I really like Doctor D in both series. The world needs more mad scientists. It needs more scientists in general.
/Zero is pure cheesy fun and seems to be laughing at anime and itself in general. The multiple failed Leena kidnappings, Oscar's giant purple fish, the judgelove...so strange. And I have a soft spot for the Tigers, they're fun perpetual losers and one giant reference. Also cool? The dub picking up on it and using baseball references in ep 8. The dub also wins for giving the Count and Leena good voices, unlike their odd original ones.
Fuzors? I love the dub. It also seems to be mocking fandom and Zoids itself at some points...intentional or not, it makes me laugh. RD actually loses (and has to deal a little with death, amazing!)...and he reads comic books and finds typos. It also made some effort at tying together random happenings into a larger plot at the end, and even if the execution wasn't perfect I liked that. Lots.
Genesis...I swear it has a sense of humor about its doom sometimes, and that's good. It made more of an effort to give depth to the conflict thing beyond "here is a good side and here is a bad side", and the kid-that-found-liger had to work more to pilot it. I also still love Zairin jumping over the blatant Van-style blade attack and taunting Ruuji about using it - more people needed to buck the "stare down incoming spork" thing, and I can't remember any other time besides Raven grabbing the Blade Liger's blades.

I really liked the animation for Gordos and Gusak. I might have to do some repaints...

Zoids genesis rocked, I always loved Zoids anime in war setting with sacrifices and heroes.

I loved how Genesis actually showed a large-scale zoid battle, not just 'fodder vs. uberzoid' like CC and GF. For /Zero, it was Naomi. She was the first real focus on a sniper zoid pilot. GF had gun sniper pilots, but they were bad guys, and they all sucked. I didn't get to see enough of Fuzors to say anything spectacular about it.

I have only seen CC (minus the two last DVDs) so that's the only thing I can speak of.
I really like the animation of the larger Zoids like Red/Darkhorn, Gojulas, Iron Kong and Deathsaurer. And Gordos, yes, definitely Gordos. I would drool all over the first appearance of Gojulas if the end hadn't been so anticlimatic.

Fuzors- apart from dodgy cheesy quotes,, .. they had awesome zoids introduced.. I still like the series, I enjoyed the modern city setting ... the PKB ,...zoid police ,, great concept
Genesis.... what can I say ....love it.... also a journey to watch.... great new zoids, awesome battles and some more serious elements,, i so wanna see the second half of this series it's killing me

I love CC/GF. The characters, the plot/story, it all came together for an excellent series, a brilliant storytelling from start to finish. Excellent. NC was funny. The plot didn't really go anywhere, but it was really really funny. Great series.
Fuzors was kinda lame, some of the new zoids were ok though.
Haven't seen genesis. I heard it was better than Fuzors, so I'm looking forward to it.

I love the New Century BF. It was big, bad, saurian, and lavender. And it did some of the niftiest dno-zoid things this side of Genesis; the Fox Throw, the Liger Brawl, and the Nudist Battle. Fuzors (the bits I've seen) is the only series that I can watch and really enjoy as more than an exuse to see giant stompy mecha. I mean, the show's got character, and a great deal more depth than Zero and more realism than GF.
Genesis looks nifty (it's got Gildragon/Gilvader and Deakalt(o) Dragon! And Bio-Kentro!) but I haven't seen it...

Well if oyu like the character drive plot and non standard character interactions of fuzors, you aint missing anything in genisis d00m. Predictable uber kid gets involved with war and saves teh planet stuff. PM me about obtaining the whole of fuzors if you want.
Ahh fuzors. My absolute most favorite zoid series, with decent characters, and writers who were smoking about 1/2 of that years output of crack in order to insert all the jokes, references and silly buggers they could into 24 episodes of joy.

CC/GF was my personal favorite, great storylines and the zoids moved very fluidly (especially the white gordos and stinger)

The Bio-Zoids! I've only seen a bit of Genesis, but the armor on the Bios! So pointy and shiny... Genesis was actually the first series to really make me want to buy lots of sets (all the 'unique' Bios, Brastle, Soul Tiger, Sword Wolf, Dekalt Dragon, Gildragon, Mugen Liger.) The Berserk Fuhrer's feet in NC0. They rocked. In fact, all of the Fuhrer's animation rocked. The plot variety in Fuzors was also gutsy, and really good, diversifying the formula from Zero's "let's have a battle, and throw in whatever plot we need to" plan. On a completely unrelated note, I want an Elephander... BAD.
