What volume does double sworder come in? (Chaotic century) I'm thinking Vol. 7, "United", the one with Van and the Blade Liger on the cover. The episode in question is titled "The Blue Devil".

The way they handled Gojulas in the Chaotic Century. I mean: Ooh, look, I'm Gojulas. I can have a system crash and be blown up by a CPC. The way people are seemingly unable to dodge a CPC blast from a Genosaurer even though it can't move when it shoots. The uberzoid Genobreaker. It looks OK, but that mid-sized critter being more powerful than a deathsaurer? Right.

Deathsaurer is not all that powerful either. As you said, it has to be stationary, and despite the laser guns and missile pods over and under the CPC intake fan, a good pilot could fire a missile in their, effectively disabling deathy.

Actually, the anime direfully overplays the vunerability of the Deathsaurer's intake fan. Its not like a single hit to the fan will deostry/disable the machine; its just that the fan is the only weak spot in its otherwise virtually inpenetrable armour. Deostrying the fan only gives oyu a chance at its vunerable innards, but cenrtainly its not like a single shot will kill it.
And Deathy doesn't need to be immobilised to fire its CPG; in fact, it can happilg move, walk, and sweep fire.

Lord Deadborder points it out perfectly. The only reason the Genos have to immobillize is becuase their weight is inaccurate to minimize the recoil of the particle blast. Deathsaurer's mass is great enough to keep it stable. Death Stinger is similar, but owes its stability to the natural design that scorpions have.
Speaking of, I find it difficult to believe GenoBreaker can fire his CPG airborne like Mr. Raven did.

Given that the Genosaurer's footlocks which are supposedly required for firing the CPG appear to have minimal contact with the ground given their size, I'm not inclined to find it hard to believe a Genobreaker could fire a CPG airborne and the fanbooks even show it as doing so.
As for Deathsaurer vs Genosaurer in CPG firing... it's actually something of a mystery to me as greater mass doesn't necessarily mean you're more stable... Deathstinger in particular makes me wonder. It is however a series about giant mechanical robots though so I try not to give it too much thought.

Raven is a cheesemonkey in many ways, but not that one. Fly, photoshopped fanbook Breaker! Another point for Death Saurer: They rarely travel alone. Dramatic confrontations aside, if you had even a single one, it'd likely be supported by Lidiers, Kongs, etc. and covered by Redlers from the air. Getting to the fan as a lone anything would be very difficult.

alright then, I formally apologize to Raven. That is a neat picture, though.

no dont apologise to raven. He's a cheese munky alright, he takes down batalions in a godos with a jackhammer while stoned out of his brain. Infact raven, and the magicly resurecting ra kan and geyorg, are the things i like least about zoids anime.

Seconded on all counts, Rant.
You gotta remember that in the OJR, the Zenebas empire fielded mass numbers of Deathsaurers. So the Helic army would be ocnfronted by a wall of big doomy dinos, supported by other Zoids. Reddra nad Lider were assigned to be Deathy's bodyguard/escort units; they would screen the Zoid for fast flanking units and flying Zoids tryng to attack its sole weakness.
Of course, I find it amusing that in the OJR Reddra could be considred a harbinger of doom. You see a Reddra, and oyu run. Fast.

Anti-Saurian-Plot-Devices.... hate them. Especially in Zero. The BF shows up for 6 episodes. I mean, Raven's purple Geno got a longer run, and there wasn't all this "Ultimate X, ooh shiny, must a rival" buisness. It shows up, gets the obligatory smite-y battle scene, then ends up sporked in the throat because Vega goes wimpy. ARGH on so many levels. And BF looked so nice, too...
Also, the fact that Zero didn't really go anywhere, and had the exact same thing, every damnable time. Enemies show up, battle starts, go get shiny armor, smite enemy. Or: Harry shows up, Harry gets hurt, battle scene, Liger Zero smites (showing that rich people, upon becoming wealthy, also become completely stupid.) Yay. Fuzors did much better, even if the Liger had to fuse lots. The episode with the judge-love showed they could have done more...
And in general: why no saurers as heroes? They start all bad, but then either end up whacked or turning good... for no reason at all. Again, Fuzors made sense; are you gonna settle a feud, or let a REALLY big stompy blow up your town and take over the world?
Also, the Fuzors run cycles make puppies die, particularly Gravity Saurer (squeel!) and the Command Wolf... yet, the 'panting' animation grew on me.
And the Blade Liger bullet is incredibly silly. Nifty sound effect, though.
Oh, and more femal villains, and fewer does-she-really-like-him witch-on-wheels teammates (again, Sweet in Fuzors! That worked!) Female villains are interesting, and kinda force the entire thing to grow up a little. Plus, Rhyss (sp?) was cool, what with the mind powers 'n all.
And also, the Mystical Hypnotizing Plot Device... aka, the Liger Zero's Strike Laser Claw. Got a pesky opponent? Scream "STRIKE LASER CLAW!" Need some redecorating done? Scream "STRIKE LASER CLAW!" It works on everything! But only if you scream, totally alerting enemies as to your intentions, because the RADIO IS ALWAYS OPEN. This carries on to the Jager Ion Boosters, the Buster Slash, the the Panzer's BFGs.
Wow, that was a lot...

Also, the Fuzors run cycles make puppies die, Yes but the Fuzors run cycle has actual traction. In going over CC/GF I noticed a lot of "ice skating" zoids. Good run cycle, bad interaction Not to mention Shield Liger with shield on just looks.... special.

just out of curiousity, just how almighty is Elephander? I don't know if the games toned it down, but Stoller makes it look way cooler.
