My custom Godos is almost ready for a paintjob and deployment. All it needs now, are the right hands. Any volunteers?

I've been planning this for a while now, finally got around to it. The Gairyuki backpack/Hien tail piece! The plan: I have two of that same swallow tail piece (and all the other armor pieces) and I wanted to combine them in order to give the backpack a little bit more weight. I also wanted to articulate the tail wings, both for maneuverability via having four individual wings, and to also simulate something similar to the way modern jet fighters can move their back thrusters in different directions. Additionally, I wanted to add actual thruster nozzles/cones to this part for... thrust. Here are two potential candidates for joints that will enable the articulation of the tail feathers. haven't figured this part out yet. The ones I have are maybe slightly too big. With the two sides clamped together, the tail feathers look nice hiding the two thruster bells. The backpack (minus the tail feathers) put together. I used modified MSG joints to give the side panels some articulation. I'll add vents to the undersides later. The side panels can fold down, to give Hien a leaner look. This will be incorporated in Hien mode. The underside. I intend to fill in the spaces with pla plate. EDIT: Better view of the tail piece on the backpack. The Gairyuki as she stands right now. The next step is implementing some kind of joint to fix the tail feathers onto the backpack, and then I'm going to work on the armor on the knees.

Both these theropods are beautiful! Really like the Gairyuki's current silhouette. And Fontana's merging the back of the Gojulas cannons with the Xenorex parts is too cool.

I am seeking some input on my experiment. I am using semi-transparent stickers (or in this case, tape) to create and LCD-generated "face" for my custom Godos (as opposed to having a painted face obscure visibility from the cockpit). My first attempt involved fully transparent tape, but there wasn't enough contrast, so I opted for layered, frosted tape instead. Do you think the results are satisfactory for what I am attempting, or, if not, what method would you recommend? Thanks in advance! Inspirational source:

I think what you have could work, though maybe trimming the eye shape to fit that area more closely would help out. Otherwise if you wanted a more seamless look you could try creating your own clear waterslide decals, similar to the process described in this video: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xo5l4j5Wk_cHere's one kind of clear decal paper you can get: www.micromark.com/Clear-On-White-Decal-Paper-Ink-Jet-PrintersOf course this would require a lot more time as well as getting ahold of decal paper, inkjet printer and clear lacquer-acrylic spray paint. Not to mention a way to design your "face" digitally, though for that there are free software options including www.photopea.com which I think is an amazing free browser tool that essentially recreates Photoshop. Good luck!

That's actually a pretty decent face! It seems odd seeing it on a Godos but it works!
