If he entered the contest, there'd be no reason for him to offer a prize. He'd win it anyway.

In my opinion, while being VERY well done, it looks a little jumbled, like a big bunch of parts. That's just me, though
Yeah, it looks very top heavy. I imagine it moving like a double-decker bus with jet engines - always in peril of toppling over. IMO not giving the legs more bulk doesn't really make the liger look faster, it actually make's it look more fragile, like the legs wouldn't be able to support the weight of the main body.
I do really like this custom (I love the gold/black scheme you have chosen for the Royal Guard zoids, reminds me of Flash Gordon ;D)

Everyone's a critic. It's not top heavy at all, the armor is light weight and the legs can support quite a bit. Adding armor to the legs doesn't increase the carrying capacity to the Liger so your logic makes no sense. -Phenotype

I finished construction of my Guard Horn, but I need to do some touch ups, painting wise.
Pheno any suggestions to make it look regal?

If your good enough, why not paint a motif, mosaic or scene onto the side of the Zoid.
