I picked up some new paints and wanted to test them out, specifically the Testor's Ruby Red Metal Flake spray. I've never worked with sprays before and thought I'd practice on something before I decide on what to do for my final custom for the contest. BZ-002 Unenlagia "Crimson Death" Crimson Death is one of the republican zoids rebuilt & refurbished by a small but growing anti-Zenebes rebellion that call themselves the Guylos Ressurection Army. Rumor has it this group is lead by a former Eisen Dragoon member.

Mmmm, shiny. That's pretty close to the red I'm waiting to use on my Fire Phoenix...
Perhaps paint the rest of it black and silver?

Looks like you didn't prime it first. You always want to prime when you're using metallic flake sprays. -Phenotype

Question: How do you prime something? Can you buy the primer?

Question: Can you buy the primer? Well duh lol, primer is easier to find that some paints. As for how to, its same kinda spray, so just shake well and then spray it on. Let it dry completely, and then spray on metallics. Keep a paper towel or cloth handy in case u mess or blob up your zoid.

I can see the blue (purply color?) still, especially in its mouth.

bobdasheep7671 - Non sparkly paint...I think it's flat tan (testors). I'm posting from school, so I don't have it handy. I got it in a military aircraft model paint set.
Tilly - I probably be using flats for detailing later - black, grey, and tan.
ADR Fury - yeah, we've established that.
