Wasn't the Robo Strux Lizard (Iguan)supposed to be an elusive model ? You can see it at the back of the box of Brox. He is coloured like Zillon, but with reversed colours. Was it released ? Lionel

Yes, Lionel, I am stalking you from one Zoids board to another!! ;D
As far as I know, Robostrux Zoids only had the two color schemes: Blue Guardians were blue/turquoise/silver with red glass and (on some) silver chrome weapons, Red Mutants were brown/tan/maroon with green glass and (on some) gold chrome weapons. Some managed to be released with two different box styles though...the "plain style" which just showed the Zoid, and the "OER-ish style" which showed the Zoid in a diorama setting, and also had a larger diorama photo with other Zoids on the reverse. Not sure just how many got that treatment...Badox and Terox for certain. Until I saw the two windups at auction this week, I didn't know any of the windups got the "diorama box" treatment. I think that the "plain style" packaging was released first...but I can't remember. I do remember that back then, most Robostrux I saw had the "plain style".
I think Lizar was only released (and at the moment, I'm having trouble remembering if I've actually seen a packaged one) in Robostrux Red Mutant colors (brown/tan/maroon). You know how these oddball Robo Strux packages with the diorama photos tend to mislead...several odd-color Zoids always show up on them that, again AFAIK, never made it to market in the US in the depicted color schemes.

I've heard that he could have been blue and silver, on my side... and about the Robo Strux, Legz and Rado has only their OER colours. BTW, I've read that the Robo Strux could also have OER colours instead of RS ones. Is it confirmed ?

Not confirmed, AFAIK. Although, whoever wins the Rado out there on the 'bay right now could let us know once they have it in hand... I thought Legz was in Robo Strux colors. Odd...

I never saw that guy listed in any of the "collect them all" sections of any of the RS booklets I have. That diorama looks like it was totally lifted from an OER box, which would go along with the front of the box being OER style too.
Sadly, none of my RSes have these weird variant boxes.
Edit: That seller's in my town!

My most complete "collect them all" comes from Badox and has 17 Robo Strux. There is not Lizar, but neither Legz, so we can't say it is complete. This means we should find a Legz one day, with his instruction booklet. About the OER diorama, never one of the RS was seen in the OER line. They are totally different scene (I don't know for the diorama behind, if those are the same or not). And anyway, there is still on this photo a Zillon with reversed colours.

By the way, for those who haven't seen that Legz really has his OER colours : Lionel

Maybe it's just me, but I'd swear that in my time I've seen a brown/tan/maroon Legz in one of the "plain" boxes.
The past is so blurry sometimes...

I have to get this Brox... It was BigBadBrutox on Zoidfans who claimed having seen the RS in OER colours. I will contact him, if I can.

I have won a couple o lots that claimed to be all robostrux. 1 lot had OER style rado and legz (and spartek and kreep in normal RS colours). The other lot had OER style saicrucius and sinker (plus a reptex in normal RS colours). Jedi Bill had a robostrux boxed sinker in the same colour scheme up on fee bay a few months back. Yes I know these two clash with the normal conception that a robostrux sinker is blue. I haven't SEEN a piccie of a blue strux sinker anywhere. THis is also the only sinker i own (and i have a bunch, another design i am obsessed with) that actualy works properly when wound up. The intersting thing is, with the sinker and the saicrucius, they are a SLIGHTLY different shade of red to any of my red mutants OR ojr zenebas zoids. It is well within the tolerances for different produciton runs tho, and i didnt get boxes or instructions or stickers, so who knows?
Ahh robostrux. It's like the all fvxxed up on drugs and not talked about at family parties sibling of zoids.

To add to the confusion, look at Rado box : You can see it is BLACK ! Not dark blue like the OJR, but really black (and I can tell you the OJR is not like that). So maybe the RS version of Rado was going to be like that. Lionel
