Ok Here they are..
1. Does anyone else save their boxes? I do..I wanted to make sure I'm not the only cleptomaniac..
2. For anyone who takes pics of zoids.. Whats the best way to take pics. I am getting a new digi cam in april but thats not for a while. For now I have a crappy Polaroid 320...with no flash. So any tips on lighting or how I should take pics will be helpful ,thanks.

I save my Boxes. I dunno why, but I'm DEFINITELY saving my Saint Gale's box, the art on there is beautiful. Mom wants me to flatten my boxes, which I may do, as the NAR box art all sux, but I won't do that with whatever JP Zoids I get, the box art on those is much more informative.

1) I save my boxes too lol they are all stacked up neaty and my mom wants to put them in the attic but I think they look nice lol and I also keep the spurs why I do not know I just feel like I have to keep them lol, wow I'm such a dork lol
2) Hmm lighting tricks......hmm I would say take a picture of your zoids on the kitchen table or kitchen counter. For some reason it just seems brighter in there than in any other part of the house.

1. Yes I save my boxes. I also try to buy NJR over NAR specifically for the box art. I will save my NAR boxes if I don't have a NJR version... otherwise it and any repeats get thrown out. And I definately keep the LTD boxes.
2. Natural lighting works best, imo. Make sure the source is behind you so you're not photographing against it, and make sure you're not getting any glare on your model.

You are not alone, I save my boxes as well, but no room in my closet (cursed sister has so many clothes she uses mine closet for her spares)
I've never taken a pic of a Zoid before, I'd say with the kitchen, brightest room and wide area, perfect for shots with different angles.

I also save my box because of the cool box art and the battle story pics. I use to have them stacked in my closet so I put the smaller boxes in the larger ones to save space.

I have all but five of my Japanese boxes flattening happily downstairs-the regular ones flatten just fine if you cut the tape at both ends.
I still regret not keeping the other five...sigh.
But I have all the instructions. Lots of instructions...
Oh...and I don't really keep the NAR boxes...although if I see another wind-up one with "death" in the random Japanese they use, I'm saving it.

I used to keep all of the Zoids boxes I got, anything bigger than a wind up anyway. Lately, though, I've been tossing most of my boxes, but I do keep some. The only NJR boxes I have are Liger Zero, all three Liger Zero custom units, and Gojulasgiga, which I proundly have displayed on my walls (along with the various Japanese Transformer boxes). I too keep the instructions. I wish I could resist, but it's just something about those cool little detailed drawings that is just so...cool! I always think I should throw them away, but I can't. I'm the same way with my Transformers instructions as well. As for the photographing- the main thing is to never use a flash. A poseable desk like is ideal for picture taking of any small, detailed figure. I don't think you neccessarily need a lot of light, just good light. I perfer to only have one light source (usually a strong one). However, I rarely remember to photogragh things that way.

Ok Here they are.. 1. Does anyone else save their boxes? I do..I wanted to make sure I'm not the only cleptomaniac.. I used to back when my collection was fewer than ten zoids but now that I have nearly forty zoids plus most of the big ones like Ultrasaurus and Madthunder i've had to scale back. Now I only keep the boxes to my favorite zoids and the yuji Kaida art boxes. and a Kleptomaniac is a compulsive theif, just for the record

My collection is still small, so I still keep my boxes, but I put the smaller boxes inside the bigger ones. It never occured to me to flatten them. Then again, I don't want to damage the boxes. Even if I did cut the sleeves to get the Z-points.

All of my flattened ones are fine...just flat. The limited boxes I wouldn't flatten, since they're a different design.

I save my boxes, and for lighting my dad got me a florecent lamp, just turn it to zoid and take a snap, really good also you can artificaly light it with some programs
also never ever throw away your instructions, it might must and you might need them, me, i haveone of those red carbeds with an atachd chest, i love that bed and my mom likes it too, i put all my spare zoids stuff in there, including stickers, i don't know why i don't put them on it's kinda like i don't customize a zoid unless i have an origanal one without stickers, i guess i'm a perfection ist (is that the word?) in the show they no have stickers
