After months of having him nestled deep within Jryu's Insurmountable Stack of Unbuilt Zoids©, I finally broke down and built him tonight (except I haven't applied the stickers).
Gungy kicks major ass so far. The design is pretty cool in that it has two modes, one crouching and one standing. He can move in both modes. However one puzzling thing is that the wings are not powered. They can be manually adjusted though. Over time, parts of the chrome have dulled ever so slightly but not really enough to notice unless you're looking for it.
The motion is pretty straight-forward: he walks forward, arms move up and down, mouth opens and closes and the cannon spins. This is the same for both modes.
It took me about an hour, being extra careful with the transparent wing joint fittings after reading that they were super fragile. It's a little harder than average difficulty to build, especially since the gatling gun on his back requires that you trim *all* flash closely or else it will not spin.
It uses only 1 AA battery to move.
Let's hope Hasbro decides to bring this one out over here because it's certainly one of the best grade-ups, if not the best. Tilly would certainly love that because it's one of the shinest Zoids I currently have in my collection.
Next up: Megatopros and Sandspeeda!

I want a GGA.
How big is it, compared to a keyboard?

If he's crouching, from tip of his nose to end of his tail, almost exactly as long as an average keyboard. When standing, he's about 7-8" high. His wing span is about 10-11". Mass-wise, he's a little smaller than Salamander but not as thick around the torso. The wings, the gun, the tail, the "S" like shape of his body make him look bigger than he is. I want a GGA. How big is it, compared to a keyboard?

Well, if I'm doing my math right, then you were born right around when it was released, in 1989. Maybe we'll see a rerelease and you'll get to see how nice the engineering and design have stood the test of time. that IS one of the cooler zoids...Too bad I wasn't around then Those were really advanced toys for their time, eh?

Neither of them are...Gungy is really hard to find, but Red Wing shows up on eBay every so often...I think mine was 20 dollars. It's Redler in red (part shiny red) with translucent orange wings and cockpit.
