The only clear yellow is on the wings. The rest of the yellow is regular yellow. The fact that this kit uses regular yellow instead of clear yellow reminds me of the Hasbro Z-Builders Fire Phoenix. The Fuzors Fire Phoenix used clear yellow.

Looking pretty good! I'm surprised to see those hallows beneath the wings... very Blox, not very Koto! This is the AZ LZ Phoenix, so it's made by TOMY and is motorized. It's part of the masterpiece line like the AZ Shield Liger, Blade Liger, Liger Zero, and Murasame Liger. I've seen pics posted of the Phoenix standalone and imo it looks better, but still weird and like an afterthought, which makes sense for TOMY imo. |

Woah... I completely missed that! I suppose that shows two things: 1) I am clearly not paying enough attention in my old age, and 2) the Masterpiece editions look REALLY GOOD.

Yeah they are what I would want most right now if I had infinite moneys. There are some tempting HMMs but these actually look like I could build them

hope they're going to make all the rival zoids like this one thinks was implied at the end of the Murasame Liger video. Namely because this one would KILL for an AZ Berserk Führer

I think the Genos are more important to get enhanced versions of, though, due to all the features from the anime that the kits didn't have |

I just discovered this ZOIDS are motorized and Im astonished.
For those of you who have them, would you say is a like a perfected motorized TOMY kit or simplified motorized HMM?

I'd say it's somewhere in the middle. I personally love the design language of the AZ kits and feel like it strikes a good balance between the two. They're more complicated than the old moto kits but not anywhere near as many pieces as their HMM counterparts. IMO they are the perfect product out right now, coming from a position of no longer having the time to build HMMs.
