Seeing those specific chrome colors together gives me Power Rangers nostalgia.. Instead of releasing toys of the movie designs that would require new molds, they re-released existing figures in beautiful chrome like this.. black and pink and silver... looks so nice

The External Particle Cannon is a weapons concept that appeared in Smack Zoids B-Part, a segment from Dengeki Hobby Magazine that looked at various Zoids concept art. It's where things like the Konig Wolf Silver Fang, Blade Liger MK-II, etc. come from and this issue looked at concepts for possible Zoids CPs. The weapon turned out great! If it was customized to be motorized, that'd be especially cool. I'm loving all of his guns lately. As someone who doesn't collect many large Zoids, I'm not really able to make use of them, but it's really cool to see them become a reality. Not many creators focus on option parts that aren't conversion kits. Items that can be used more freely, with any Zoid, not just intended for one, are always nice to have. I am grateful for the knowledge you have emparted. Can you possibly even tell us which issues this was in? Further are the other 2 guns I've shown off in this thread also from these magazines as well? If so which ones? I know I've been a bit slow on this query. He finally has these available for sale now. 2 are in my current order with him, 1 built and 1 unbuilt. There are so many things I have missed thruout the decades of collecting. Much of the magazine stuff was missed entirely. I do have a couple of CoroCoro books, but that's about it. I have a fairly nice collection of toy rep catalogs and am still chasing a few more down. Thank you for helping those of us who can not read Japanese. BTW your review of Hobby Link Japan's 40th anniversary book has helped tremendously.

I believe the External CPC is from the March 2002 issue. This went over a variety of potential Customize Part options including an early version of what would later become the anime's Gravity Cannon. Most of them are drawn as full Zoid variants instead of individual weapons, though.
The other weapons in the thread are from the Zoids Saga games. I think most of them are shop weapons, and most of the games equipment doesn't get any kind of lore. They're still neat designs, though.
I absolutely love that the Liger is painted in a more militaristic color scheme! That slate works beautifully, and the rusted weathering is superb.

Now I just wish someone would do repros of the hard-to-find Command Zoids. I still need the four rarest; the Saradin, Water Strider, Helldiver, and Grand Molar.

Actually Gingy is working on that project. She has borrowed mine, missing 3, for casting. Later this year as she is working on the Descat rebirthing project.

Oddly my water strider and grand molar are 2 of those 3 missing. I know they are here somewhere, I think anyway. I still have 3 massive boxes to root thru. The issue is those 3 massive boxes are the 3 in the corner. Every box is being used as a shelf for built zoids. To get to them at least 50 zoids must be moved then 5 other massive boxes also need moved just to maneuver the boxes to get to look inside them. Each box contains an undisclosed variable ammount of mib zoids. Packed away in order of purchase decades ago. No telling what is in what box. It's Christmas everytime I open one. Most is known, but something surprises me in every box. I thought all command/attack zoids were together. When Gingy was being sent them I thought all were in the bag of them. When I sorted before shipping I discovered 3 are missing. I think the 3rd missing is saradin. She already had the gorem and battle rover minitures she already had so those were not sent along. As for me I've been putting off searching the last 3 boxes. It is an all day project for each box and stressful due to worry of moving things around over and over again.

The fact that Tu is doing recasts of Transfighters just goes to show you what a massive Zoids geek he is. I'll be singing his praises about that in the video review of his Shield Liger Gusoku Myokoh kit as well, but he seriously just came up with that based on a reference in a Generations manga and one panel showing its head. There was never actually a kit of it otherwise, his version is the only one ever made. It's just incredibly cool.

I still have issues with finding a site to post pics from, but I also have before and after pics from when I got the garage kits for the 1/24 Zoids that are now 1/72 Command Zoids. I was absolutely astonished how well my Neptune came out. I have a Deathpion, Roadskipper, and Neptune in 1/72 kit form with the Gorem Command Zoid release. I still dont have the Battlerover or the 1/72 kit version of Megatopros. I know they are out there, but pricey.

It is called. postimages.org I now have 4 or 5 folders of pics that I've shared.

I'm still very interested in a recast of Descat or Gravity Rex, if he ever gets around to those! I'm not even sure where the ethics and laws fall on reproducing out of print kits... but I want to customize them without killing actual collectables.

Like pirating a game that's unavailable, there can't be any quandry with it! If they want your money, they'll re-release the product properly. If they spend money fighting something that didn't cost them money, that means a lawyer made them do it
