Hey all, I could really appreciate any tips when it comes to moving locations and packing Zoids safely. Thankfully it’s only about a 35 min drive from where my precious Zoids have been all their lives (since I’ve owned them anyway). I have a collection of over 200 Zoids, ranging from OJR to techno Zoids to Zoids2, yuji kaida, all kinds of limited game exclusives( jolly rancher redler is one of my faves or was to I got the genesis redler). I’m especially worried about the “clear/crystals”. The clear death saurer has already had the chest plate break and it sits on a self! I don’t touch them. So yea. I’m freaking out. I’ve been collecting since I was 11 or 12 and am 32 and have never moved them before. So please please I beg of anyone with the experience help me out! I only have one koto and I’m not worried about it. The other 199+ Zoids are your old school ones, wind up motor, battery operated, some blox ones. Any and all advice is welcome. Thankfully I do not have to be in a super big rush to pack them and load them, I just bought a house last Friday with my fiancé, he had been living with his parents I have been living with mine. So we’re able to take our time packing stuff so there’s no deadline. He is scared to touch them lol so this is gonna be all me. Which is how it should be they are mine, and if I damage them taking them apart, well it’s on me not him. Smart guy. I tried looking for the old zoid.us website. I remember it had a section about moving but I’m not sure what happened to that website. I still enjoy my zoids I just don’t collect them like I used to. Heck I still have three or four MIB, had no room to build them. Maybe this’ll help me start anew 😈 just don’t tell my fiancé. Thank y’all!

Bubble wrap has always served me well, but you want to extra-extra wrap fragile parts or even just quickly disassemble them.. horns, wings, anything that can come off easily. and something extra like crumpled up paper or those air pocket things you may have saved from packages can fit in between your wrapped zoids to stabilize them even further. Congrats on the house and good luck!

Thank you! Any advice is very appreciated. Sadly enough I threw away every single bit of that shipping material over years and years of collecting. 😞Makes me ill- I’d prob have had enough to move almost all of my Zoids. Never thought I’d meet anyone who would wanna marry me, and tolerate my precious Zoids. He loves me but has made it clear he’s terrified of helping me move them 😆 I definitely figure I’ll at least partially disassemble them. If not total. Lots and lots of ziploc baggies (left front leg, right rear leg, etc, sharpies, bubble wrap and or those packing peanuts I guess. I also have the boxes for nearly all the 200 Zoids. They were collapsed to help store them years ago. Gonna be a mess and I’m SO glad I don’t have deadline.

Though if there are intricate or fragile bits separate them from their limbs for extra security. If you have a supply store like Home Depot near you, bubble wrap by roll is available there. Partial disassembly and reassembly is a little fun anyway. Also try to keep the motors upright if possible.
