Am the only one who feels kind of underwhelmed that the Kotobukiya version is also going to come stock without any long-ranged weaponry. I mean, especially after they added weaponry to units like Command Wolf AC and Lightning Saix. I'm still squinting, hoping that there is a shock cannon tucked inside the fuselage, or hidden pop-up missile pods somewhere in the armor. That, and maybe an optional double beam rifle similar to the Command Wolf's. Other than that, the Tomy Konig Wolf was already a unit packed with details, so naturally, the Kotobukiya designers have gone all out if the concept art is any indication. Am I the only one who wants to actually see a Konig Wolf Mk-II in colors based on the Mk-IIs from the mid 80s? The Konig Wold was released in 2001. It wasn't around back in the 80's The only Konig Wolf MK-II we got was in the Fuzors toyline back in 2004.

They mean the white-blue-gold colors that MK-II Zoids used to be released in, like Command Wolf MK-II~ Not K Wuf MK-II specifically. I think a K Wuf would be gorgeous in those colors.

That’s precisely what I mean! I’m actually surprised that the white-blue-gold color scheme was only used for the Shield Ligers in the anime, and without the Double Beam Cannons mind you! And yet the Geno Breaker Jet, Iron Kong SS, and ostensibly Raven’s Geno Saurer are based on the old Zenebas Mk-II colors. Fuzors missed a golden opportunity in my opinion with the Mk-II.

The Geno Breaker Jet was black and red, but the Iron Kong Schwartz/Schubaltz and Geno Saurer Raven were not. The Iron Kong Schwartz/Schubaltz was actually a dark grey and the Geno Saurer Raven was a dark blue. Hate to bump ths old thread, but you know what I mean.

This is splitting hairs a wee bit. To me it seems all of these Zoids are meant to be visually read as black/red, including the Raven. It's such a faded blue I'd sooner call it a blue-tinted black (including the HMM). This kind of color adjustment is common to make shades of black less boring, same reason the SS uses yellow-tinted blacks in the show. The Schwarz Zoids are black / red. A light black, yes, but still black. In the anime the SS is a darker shade of black than Irvine's Command Wolf. The Koto kit is barely a noticeable difference.

Consider me sufficiently teased. Redler had this HMM love coming.

The König concept art has HMM's typical poorly designed hind legs but otherwise looks so great. I'm hella nostalgic for that kind of lineart, remember those old zoids motion comic things?
From the actual model it looks like the legs are better, or at least better-posed, but still inferior to TOMY's version. The Redler though? that looks insanecredible and I love it. Who even expected Redler to get the HMM treatment?

Yeah, I don't know why Koto has such problems with hind legs. I think the most grievous offender is still Dibison. I do love the line art and the rest of this kit's design.
