Since ZW seems to be dead in the water and also because I bought one at a semi-reasonable price on eBay and wanted to show it off, here's a video about the Wing Rider.

Always loved that kit... they should have re-released all of them with the NJR series.

A treat to see this classic Zoid! Man, such a simple design with the two sprues, but the look and mechanism are both very elegant. I also hadn't really appreciated the King Liger's design before seeing your video. Edit: I foolishly posted this comment before seeing the motion part of the video near the end... glad to see it up and running!

I wasn't too excited about this kit myself, but I did just snap up two more gradeup units from the same seller at the same price. These days, anything at all that you can get from the OJR line without selling a kidney first is worth picking up... especially since these were never reissued, like Maethius said.
It's especially strange considering that the vast majority of the gradeup Zoids actually were reissued, some of them as completely regular mass releases, but the only actual gradeup unit that I remember ever being available was the one for the RCZ Gultiger, and it only came packaged with the Zoid.

So as to not clog up the board with a million threads about my Youtube stuff, I'll just dump this one in here. I have another Gradeup unit that I'll be reviewing at some point this summer, so I guess this'll be my GU thread now.

Helps us find them, actually. ^_^ I always loved this GU kit... but I always wondered what the little tubie-thingy between the barrels was. I figured it was some kind of sensor array or an aiming laser.

Here's the Eye Flasher, and shockingly, the light was actually still working... this is the last of the three that I bought recently, so I'm done with this for a while.

"Eye Flasher!" I'm sure the Japanese writeup makes it sound like a very high-tech system. This thing could be re-engineered with modern batteries and micro LEDs to great effect, don't you think? (Incidentally, Zeek Dober HMM would be pre-ordered in about 4.2 seconds if they made it!)

Yeah, I'm just shocked that this little lightbulb from the 80s is still working... replacing that with an LED is, um, a litte above my paygrade.
I'm starting to feel a bit bad because you're now the second person who's told me you love the Zeekdober after that video, and I... I hate it. At least it's not white and gold like most Gradeups, but still. Seems like there's just never going to be a canine Zoid that I like, which is hilarious because I'm a total dog person.

LOL! You are allowed to hate Zeek! I think the reason I really liked it was twofold: 1) in a world filled with Zoid cats, it was cool to see a dog, and 2) the design (though not the colors) really does compliment the Dark Zoid line... which I really loved at the time.

I will say this - the Eye Flasher adds a lot more to Zeekdober than it does to Kingliger.
