The TT kits seem to have a bit to a LOT less detail and features; very good to know!

You think TT and Hasbro might have some deal going, where one comes with painted figurine, but less moving parts (aka "child hazard"), while the other is more like a traditional kit. To get the best of both, you ought to buy from both?

Bottom line, when there are differences, you do have to buy both types of kits to get everything. It is up to the collector to choose which of the differences matter more.
At this point, a rule of thumb is: Hasbro has a Character Figure Takara TOMY has stickers
I'll continue to post more when time allows.

I know that some differences in molding for Hasbro kits is to make them appropriate for different markets. I learned this when doing some research on products released in different countries. This is the same reason Nerf guns come in the colors they do. Actually, both editions have their own appeal, especially as a customizer.

Thank you for such thorough comparisons! Really useful and neat to see the differences. Looking at the tortoise I'll probably stick with my Takara one, but the others seem similar enough and a lot easier to acquire.

What even is the hasbro cannon supposed to be? Like a weird railgun? It's crazy enough the original has a square cannon, but splitting it into pieces like that...

The differences between the two models is a LOT more involved than I thought! You could reasonably call these two different kits entirely. Thank you for all the details on these!

Okay, I haven't been following the Hasbro line (but I really should be), but I love that a Zoid is named "Ruin." These two kits are very similar, but I like the black better than the gray.

The first review of the Pincers/Kuwaga has been updated for variations I didn't see before.
