Takara posted a video on youtube showing more Xenorex as well as the two new evo sets for it. I also didn't notice this but the two weapon set for it actually come with parts that make it bigger. I'm thinking with the evo parts it will make it easier to articulate along as you don't mind that it makes it bigger. youtu.be/-ARPCrZo9Iw |

Wow, they are really puting some love into this kit; the expansion systems have some really nice articulation to them, and the details look good. I'll probably have to drop some coin on several sets! Interesting that they took the tack of the Empire going with a cat and the Republic going with a Rex after an entire generation of the opposite with hero Ligers and villain T-Rexes.

Veeery interesting. The way it was designed to accept bodily extensions but still look good no matter what, the way the sets are pretty obviously designed to be painted since they just suddenly add a black middle sgment to the tail.. the way the legs fake full animation by having the bulk of the work done by a rigid piece that sits in the rear while the rest of the leg animates in a visually striking way.. so nice

Looks like they may finally be transitioning away from the nicely detailed but static leg designs; that's a good sign!

* The doctor character they have doing these presentations is great!
* I actually really like the greenish gray concept for Xenorex. The actual base kit's blues and grays don't work that well together in comparison. The white and blue variant on the other hand....that's gorgeous
* I am also a big fan of the mechanics of this one. I always disliked how kits like Wild Liger have simple, static legs. No amount of detail made it satisfying to watch them walk.
* Being able to switch Xenorex and Burning Liger's weapon ports is interesting! Very cool design
* I really like this gunner variant!
