Yeah, it's windup. Wild Windup Kits have taken a page from Shadow Fox's book and hidden the keys somewhere on the Zoid. For Kill Scyth, it's the cigar shape thing under the body, which is inserted into its left side.

Yeah, it looks much better in these pictures, I was really surprised. Easily the best looking praying mantis Zoid so far. I mean, not that I'd ever cast doubt on the superiority of Mantazoid/Spiker, but... |

I really like the motion of the arms as it walks. I was thinking they were simply poseable.
