A new leak just surfaced of the supposed panther type Zoid from the earlier CoroCoro Poster. This Zoid has been teased in the manga as well, but this is our first 3/4 look at the whole kit. The name "Driver Panther" surfaced in TakaraTomy's list of trademarks, which in the kana appeared to be shortened to "Dripanther". The Book of Adventure, a customize example and product booklet revealed the English spelling to be Dreipanther.  |

Kit looks cool, but being a Panther it should be sleek. So first thing I thought was, how fast can I kick off that ugly shield thing (with Bamburian it at least looked better) and put something else on?

Those shields look like they would swing up and become a VTOL system, like the old Gul Tiger lift fans.

Now that you mention it, they do look like they flip upwards. Not gonna lie though, they kinda look like a top. Especially with what looks like an orange rip cord around them. I sincerely hope that's not the case, but with TT's other major brand being Beyblade, it wouldn't be surprising. Was hoping for more of a cat like head, though. It looks like a flehmen response which is just an... odd choice of expression for a Zoid to have. They were probably going for snarling, but did not hit the nail on the head. |
