This is part of a group of Zoids that were revealed in this leak. One thing we've lacked in Wild is flying-type Zoids, and the Sniptera gives us that with this pteranodon type. Unlike similar Zoids of the past, the Sniptera actually walks on its wing claws. This really sets the Zoid apart. It's also of the Machine Blast variety, featuring the same non-Wild style eyes. For its Machine Blast, the mouth opens and a gun extends, while the crest over the head flips forward. It will be a medium sized motorized kit. Release Date: September, 2019 Retail Price: 3,500 Yen Further Viewing:- Currently None Video:- Currently None

Thanks for making all the new threads Hanyoutai! Your diligence is incredible.
The Sniptera may be my favorite of the new batch, at least from this early info. The different modes look quite distinct too.

How are they selling these to kids at 35 bucks a pop for what looks like something the size of a raynos at best?

How are they selling these to kids at 35 bucks a pop for what looks like something the size of a raynos at best? Raynos is a small windup Zoid. This is comparable to Storm Sworder in size.

This is comparable to Storm Sworder in size. Ohh okay, that's better.

Latest pics of Sniptera. Oh and haha silly TakaraTomy: "price and release date are still secret."
Uhm yeah..no.. 3500 yen and coming out on 26th of September (give or take a day). Pre-order on the 15th of August. (No secret at all, just the same trend as all the other releases)

Hot and cold on this one, now that I've seen the detailed pics. There are some physical aspects I like with the basic form and missile pods, but I'm disappointed with the main guns (we have totally given up on making them look like weapons from even one side, and now they look like plastic grids in a vaguely gun-like shape) and the "chest wheels" that make it look like a pull-back toy. As with the others, it would be interesting to customize, but there are as many positives as negatives on this one for me.

Valid points there, but I do have to say (I saw it in motion in a videoclip, hung from a string) that the flying movement is surprisingly smooth. Even when rolling with those awkward looking "wheels" the wings do move very much like they should.

Easy enough to replace from the old parts bin, but I wonder why they're like that to begin with-- an intentional aesthetic choice or some way of being less explicitly violent? Overall though I like the look, will probably pick it up.
