"A turkey wrapped in fern leaves" ... ROFL! That is a beautiful description!
And, yes, it has a VERY cool head!

Here's the Sonic Bird, which is actually a Gilraptor that stuck feathers up its butt and found out it doesn't make you a chicken.
(I'm really just annoyed I didn't think of that Fight Club reference before I made the video, but I always have the really good ideas when it's too late. My first instinct was some kind of veiled reference to Guile from Street Fighter, but I didn't go through with it.)

I do like the look of the kit, and it probably articulates well, but I agree that it doesn't impress with how it functions. Not bad looking, though.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more it seems like they've literally made the winged Zoid with the worst wing movement in the history of the line, and that's just... disappointing.

Annd here's the Kill Scythe. I was going to wait until next week, but then I didn't.

I was glad to see how well they designed this thing. I noted that it has a few subtle details that are pretty cool, like the canister dispensers on the wings. Overall I like the look of this mantis and I think it would be a worthwhile pain in the butt to give it a full articulation treatment. Thanks for the review!

And of course literally the day after I posted the Shield Liger video and said it was basically because I didn't have the Zero Phantoth yet, I get the package from Amiami three days early. Not that I'm complaining or anything.

Huzzah! I have been very curious about this one! I am so glad the parts were painted with the purple. I do like the look of the kit... I should buy two so I can have the solid-armored legs, then joint the whole thing. ^_^ Great review!

Yeah, the hollow legs are definitely a bit of a bummer. This sort of thing has never bothered me all that much because it was everywhere on the 80s models, but it just seems like it would've been so easy to include 4 additional parts to at least cover up the lower halves.

...and here's the video of me building it in case anyone wants to see that. It really is by far the most interesting build in the ZW line.

Woot! I've been wanting a closer look at this one! Those leg mechanics look familiar; like re-worked Deathsaurer. The molding does make it look quite complicated... lots of cool details and layers. It would take a great deal of work to make those feet look good. ^_^ Thanks for running this one... it is an intriguing kit!

Woot! I've been wanting a closer look at this one! Those leg mechanics look familiar; like re-worked Deathsaurer. Well, it has the two pieces that attach to the feet to move them, but as usual with ZW, no knee joints. That's actually another mild disappointment that I forgot to mention in the video, but honestly, all the other bipedal dino Zoids that don't drag their tail walk like they're drunk, so maybe it's for the better that this one just does the standard Zoids Wild shuffle.
