youtu.be/oN80xjYg1TcLast one. The tl;dr is, I like this better than I thought it would, but it's still the millionth frickin' liger Zoid, and it's very derivative and familiar looking.

I've liked the look of the cat since it first debuted, but it does seem a little scrawny and stiff compared to the older kitties and their mechanical legs. Still, with a little work, I'm sure it can be elevated a bit.

Come to think of it, the Lightning Saix leg armor might work.

I'm going to look into it, but the Saix is a great idea for a starting point. Heck, Brave Jaguar has a similar look, but smaller pieces overall, but they might work to supplement other pieces.
Of course, this change will also have to come with a skull cockpit conversion and a few guns....

Ugh while I still have a lot of gripes about the design of this Zoid I'm wanting one more and more lol. I'm really disappointed by the fact that the legs are single pieces though. No cool mechanism like on the old Zoids or even MPZ; and no room for poseability at all, unless he's supposed to be borderline crouching all the time. Box art is a pretty big lie there which is a real let down D': I honestly don't understand this step on Tomy's side, after all I thought the leg mechanism was one of the main spotlight features of their products. Also I know this is a general thing for ZW Zoids, but man those eyes creep me out lol. I'd probably replace them with a clear canopy and perhaps some LEDs. Also highly agree on the necessity of leg armor. Saw a custom on twitter, my god it makes you realize how naked he looks without it. Perhaps Gundam parts could find a use there? The body of the Wild Liger is such a stark contrast to the non-organic machinery look of the 'old' Zoids and HMMs that I'm not sure honestly how HMMizing him would affect his look. Def worth looking into though!
TL;DR: dang I need me one, I already got each of the cap CP sets after all xD

I honestly don't understand this step on Tomy's side, after all I thought the leg mechanism was one of the main spotlight features of their products. My guess is they're trying to keep the line kid friendly. The old Liger legs were great, but they were also pretty complicated and tedious to put together, at least by Zoids standards. And I have to say, if the ZW kits do one thing really well, it's maximizing what you can do with extremely simple engineering. I kind of appreciate that because the simplicity of the early Zoids models was always something I liked about them, and as cool as Goj Giga and Seismo were, I felt like they'd kind of lost something. Anyway, since ZW seems to be selling better than expected (apparently people haven't been getting their kits because HLJ and Amiami are having trouble keeping up), I guess this line's going to last a while, and it'll be interesting to see where it goes in terms of complexity. Also, get a Gabrigator instead. ;-)

I think they worked on this to improve. I really like the movement now. Cougan
