So Mai recently discovered UV reactive paint and........ obviously I'm obsessing over it now. ALL THE GLOWY POWDERS HOLY FK.

I got a very special, very expensive paint - that I accidentally knocked over today while trying to test it. Half of it is gone... that's 7 bucks down the drain TvT
And if you're thinking now that a bottle of paint for $14 is hella overpriced, well.. I disagree. This is what I got:

Gaia Color Ex-06 Ex-Fluorescent Clear, 50ml




A lacquer that looks clear in daylight, but glows an intense cyan under UV light (see the right spoon). Which is pretty cool, since most clear/white UV paints glow green in my experience.

I took a video to show how it looks like (at most) a glossy clear coat normally, but then just pops under UV light:



I still have half of the (admittedly HUGE) bottle left, but still... spilling that hurt TT^TT

Yup, glowy is awesome! My only issue with the stuff I've been using (pigment powder I mix with different mediums) is that it murders my airbrush.

That is beautiful stuff. I waaant it. But does it only work under blacklight, doesn't absorb and discharge like glow in the dark? less fun.

Have you found any good solutions for this? Or does it just require way more cleaning than usual?

You should try Gaia's lacquers then. They're... well... as the name says, lacquers :'D Check out the Ex line~

Beautiful but expensive :'> This particular one only works under UV/blacklight, yes. But I've gotten powders off eBay for literally $1 with F/S that are true glow-in-the-dark ones! Also, you should definitely check out Stuart Semple's LIT... I have it and it's crazy omg.

dchan- Nope, I have not found a good way to spray glow paint. However....
