True, but the times that XL meant Ultra, King Gojulas or Mad Thunder are sadly long gone.. So large is medium and XL is still not that large (massive Rex would have been so cool..)

I really like the look of the spider. I feel that Zoids has been crying out for a good, updated arachnid design for a long time.

How feesable would it be to swap Fang Tiger's Wild Blast with Gilraptor's blades? I LOVE Tiger's design but those blades look so dumb.
I have been away for a while. Some thoughts
* the pillbug not being motorized in roll form is a HUGE downside in my opinion. I will still be on the hunt for Valga...
* Garantula and Canon Spider are great Zoids, but this new spider looks pretty cool. I wish I could make out more of the details; the watermark is annoying
* Those alt colors for the raptors are based on the anime right? They look...alright...I am all for unusual color schemes but these just look kinda dull
* Im upset that I am not more excited for Ankyrocks, and even more that Dimepulsar doesn't look super great. The former looks really good, but maybe I really dont need to buy new Zoids anymore...I have so many kits unbuilt, and so little space.

My two cents:
1) Spideath: This is officially the dumbest name in the history of Zoids. Yes, including Deathpion. It certainly is nice to finally have something approximating an anatomically correct spider, though.
2) Fang Tiger: Meh. I guess this is basically going to be the Wild Liger with different armor parts. Now the WB mode on the Liger works really well, so this should be good too, but it also suffers from the weird looking naked legs, and it just doesn't look nearly as good as Saber Tiger did.
3) Dimepulsar: Really curious to see what the WB mode on this one does. It would be awesome if the fins moved up and down slightly in that position. Not a fan of the proportions on this one, but I do like the olive green color.
4) Ankyrocks: Dumb name, but looks good. Also certainly a more accurate Ankylosaurus than Gunbluster, and I like the colors.
5) Gilraptor: Diggin' the black, purple and gold. Vaguely reminds me of Geno Saurer. I guess I'll get this one if it's a regular release.
6) Dilophus: Nice color, hate everything else about it. I don't know what any of these new bits are even supposed to be. It looks like it fell in a tub of Tamiya Extra Thin and then some random plastic pieces just got stuck to it.
Overall, I really like the more muted colors these are all in, and other than the Dildo-Doofus, there's no severe goofiness going on appearance wise either, which is great. I still think there seems to be a bit of a tendency for the heads to be too large, but all in all, this line is certainly going in a direction that I can get behind. They look a lot less Pokemon-like.

I'd like to think that bigger kits might be a remote possibility-- very unlikely, but Takara Tomy has released some giant Transformers in the last few years. Other companies have already set a precedent for enormous kits like the HMM Gojulas, Bandai's Perfect Grade line of course and even Max Factory's upcoming monstrous 1/20 scale ¥36,852 Macross Valkyrie. That said, since the line seems marketed and designed more for younger kids it's almost certainly not going to happen. The new sizes are growing on me. The Grachio and Rex seem to have decent bulk, and the medium-sized ZW kits feel like they slot in right between the big wind ups (Command Wolf, Rhimos) and the "standard" sized motorized Zoids (Shield Liger, Saber Tiger). 1) Spideath: This is officially the dumbest name in the history of Zoids. Yes, including Deathpion. It certainly is nice to finally have something approximating an anatomically correct spider, though. Haha I can't disagree with you there... but at the same time I sort of love how silly it is. Seems fit in among some of the greats-- "Snakes", "Rainbow Jerk", and "Zabat" (took me almost 20 years to realize it just means "the bat") for instance.

I'd like to think that bigger kits might be a remote possibility I'm still hoping for reissues of some old models. I need about five Madthunders and Deathsaurers for various painting and custom projects. Realistically, though, I'm guessing we've topped out at Grachiosaurus. The various species aren't to scale with one another, so there's really nothing stopping them from making a gigantic version of a different dinosaur that's bigger than Grachio for no reason, but it'd look kind of silly.

Wow, these are just dire. Dilophos is going to be confusing because isn't that the same name as Diloforce when written in katakana? What even IS its wild blast? It's nice to get a decent spider zoid for once, but I have no idea what's going on with the pilot when it closes its legs. why would the abdomen rise over the body like that? ahhh what is this line!??

Dilophos is missing the ー that's used in the Diloforce's name to imply the 'r' sound. So they're distinguishable... by a small margin.
The box art is terrible. Not gonna lie. Even just the contrast, but that's a common problem with the Wild Kits. Usually the colors aren't so brutally changed, but this... could've been so cool.
