@ Falcarius, Fisoku’s source of eHobby lists all of Wave 3 (ZW-09 to ZW-15) as releasing in September, with expected arrival to their Taiwanese shop in October. Um, no? Check eHobby's Stegosage page, for example. "2018年11月預定(台灣預計11-12月到貨)" = "scheduled for November 2018 (expected to arrive in Taiwan in November-December)" The release schedule might seem a little odd, but it actually sticks pretty closely to previous Tomy procedure. First, kick off the line with a big batch of Zoids all released on the same day, shortly before the anime begins (CC/Fuzors/Genesis), including the starter Zoids of the hero (CC/Fuzors/Genesis) and rival (Fuzors/Genesis). After that, the series gets at most one more big batch (CC/Fuzors) - most of the kits are released roughly one to three at a time (CC/NC0/Genesis). Upgrades to the hero and rival Zoids are usually released around the same time as their anime appearances (CC/Genesis), but for some reason the final boss is released three (Fuzors) or even six months (CC/Genesis) before its animated debut. As for the minor Zoids, they're anyone's guess - in the Genesis line (probably the closest analogue to Zoids Wild), the Bio Raptor kit wasn't released until three months after its first anime appearance, while the Zabat wasn't shown until almost a year after its model release. Even main team members were released completely out of order, with Soul Tiger (the last to join) being part of the first wave while Deadly Kong (introduced in episode 5) wasn't released until months after mid-series bosses Bio Ptera and Bio Kentro. (New Century is unusual in a few ways - there was no big starting batch since the NJR was already underway, the Liger Zero and each of its armours were released a month or two after their first anime appearances, and the "rival" and "final boss" roles were combined into a single Zoid that came out two days before the final episode.) If Zoids Wild keeps mimicking past series, it's possible the Wild Liger will be getting some sort of powerup in November, and the Death Rex may not make a proper animated appearance until next year. Also, if Fang Tiger and the anky/pachy aren't getting released until December at the earliest, that implies that they're intending the anime to last for a minimum of two cours (about 26 episodes), possibly four or more. Oh, and I had a listen to the radio program. Nothing hugely important, but it was kinda fun. It featured MBS presenter Kenta Suzuki and voice actor Suzuko Mimori, who will be playing a lively girl called Sanratan who provides intel to Team Freedom. They had a discussion about the history of the Zoids franchise and the setting of Zoids Wild, then introduced their four regular corners: "New Species Excavated? Zoids Laboratory" (coming up with ideas for new types of Zoids), "Team Freedom Bulletin Board" (providing info about Zoids Wild), "Instincts Unleashed! Wild Blast Council" (listener-submitted anecdotes) and "Great Ancient Treasure Variety Judges" (discussing people's personal "treasures"). Being the first episode, they didn't have any submissions for the latter two yet, but they talked to Hirai Toshio (manager of the Zoids Wild team at Takara Tomy) about Wild's new concepts in "Bulletin Board" and discussed possible ideas for a kangaroo Zoid in "Zoids Laboratory" (including an unexpected shoutout to Shotodile).

That's actually quite an interesting pattern that I never caught onto. Hmm. I certainly hope that we get an episode count eventually.
Watched Episode 2 today and wow, loved it even more than the first. Yeah, there was some wonkiness (that raptor-) but the animations in general are so dynamic. They also had a LOT of fighting this time, and sure, not a lot of actual model interaction, but I expect that to be the norm. Some reused animation, but again, that's expected for a kids show, especially with those wild blast scenes. We'll be seeing them a lot. My one gripe is how boring the Wild Liger was during the dramatic scene. They could have at least moved his eyes or something.
Fang Tiger stole the show for me. I didn't even like this Zoid's design at first, but its character is winning me over. I love those focused eyes. Without the 'eyebrows' that the Wild Liger has, he just looks so hyper vigilant about everything. The story, though I won't go into detail here, was also really pleasing to me. They could've done the "happily ever after" stuff in the first episode and left it, but instead they made Arashi keep working. And for a good reason. I'm sure it'll be resolved this episode but I still really appreciate that extra detour from what you'd expect.

After this episode I'm really starting to like the bald Deathmetal team leader or whatever you'd call him, and his feminine screams here and there and when running away. Found myself laughing about it a number of times after watching it. desuree desuree
And yes Agreement on Fang Tigers eyes, it's an alert looking cat. I like Fang Tiger very much. And Stubborn wild liger I'm also digging. The more free zoid movement I see the happier I am.
Also Thanks so much Falcarius for the translations and Maiasa for the upload to youtube, I was able to download your version Miasa but not the locked version assumingly due to the region lock so it has been of great help.

That clip really sold Kuwaga and the Brachio for me. I didn't like the Brachio at first, but seeing him in motion is nice.

I'm so on the same page as Vig with how entertaining purple lipstick leader is. I won't lie, the high-pitched "desureeEEEEEEE" right at the start of the episode made me snort already xD That dude really always makes me smile, he's so silly lol. I really hope he'll be a staple in the cast and reappear throughout the show. And the shirtless grunts with their expressionless masks with lipstick stamped on it are simply hilarious. And Drake... I'm sorry but the first thing I thought when I saw his silhouette was "he looks like Victini". Yep he's a pokemon now.
I absolutely LOVE how expressive the Wild Liger is. He gives me a lot of asshole-vibes akin to Bit's Zero haha. Cats will be cats lol. Honestly after the "wild beast tamed by boy"-plot of ep1, I didn't expect the Wild Liger to still be that distrustful. A nice change from the usual cliché and wonderful to see just how autonomous he is~ The scene with him turning away and making the Zoids equivalent of "yawning and ignoring you cuz u bore me to death" had me in stitches xD Arashi's ingeniousness in trying to get near the WL was too funny omg. How does he not have all of his bones broken by now? At this point I also have to chime in with Han, despite not really being into the Fang Tiger's design (the snout just looks...a lil weird), he got an awesome personality like wow. And those intense glowing blue eyes sent shivers down my spine. Really want to see his showdown with Wild Liger in the next episode. So far Fang Tiger has way better manners I gotta say xD
Honestly I still really don't have a lot to complain about. The OST is really nice, the VAs too. Reusing animation sequences is well, to be expected. Same for the downtime or simple 'standing still' during battles but hey, it's a kids show after all. A lot of Zoid animations are also a bit unrefined still, and the movements don't really seem to fully follow the laws of physics (but then again I'm complaining on a super high level with the background of an animation student lol). Though the lack of shadows on the ground does really break the immersion at times. I'm putting my hopes up for this to be fixed in an eventual Blu-ray release... and hopefully also a sweet blu-ray limited Wild Liger to come with it.
I noticed a really cool detail by the way - in Wild Blast mode, Arashi has very prominent fangs, which disappear once he's out of it~

I noticed a really cool detail by the way - in Wild Blast mode, Arashi has very prominent fangs, which disappear once he's out of it~ Yeah saw it too, secretly he's a vampire But next episode the fight with GilRaptor and some Gabrigator afterwards? (but they'll probably spread that out for the episode after that)
Oh and this might not be Zoids Wild related but I thought still kind of relevant (what with the whole dino excavation hype going on haha) www.bandai.co.jp/candy/products/2018/4549660224556000.html

There's been another leak! Death Rex has been pushed back to December (although it's still numbered ZW12), and a couple more Zoids have been named. Here's the current lineup for this year: July: ZW07 Kuwaga (1200 yen), ZW08 Grachiosaurus (6800 yen) September: ZW09 Wraptor (1200 yen), ZW10 Knuckle Kong (3000 yen), ZW11 Triceradogos (4500 yen) November: ZW13 Gusock (1200 yen), ZW14 Stegosäge (4500 yen), ZW15 Wild Liger DX Set (4000 yen) December: ZW12 Death Rex (6800 yen), ZW16 Hunter Wolf (3000 yen), ZW17 Catarga Carrier (4000 yen) Someone also tracked down several of Takara Tomy's recent trademarks, giving us a few extra names: Awakened Wild Liger, Hunter Wolf, Catarga, Spydeath, Fang Tiger, Dimepulsar, Ankylox, Pachykedos, Dilophos In other news, I just finished my subs for episode 2! TT Youtube version / TV rip version(Fonts used: Arial Rounded MT Bold, Franklin Gothic Demi, Wide Latin, Eras Demi ITC, Century Gothic, Linux Biolinum G, AR CENA, Viner Hand ITC)

Interesting! So that blue critter was indeed likely a wolf. I wonder what the Catarga is?

I'm super curious how Awakened Wild Liger and Hunter Wolf will look like. Though the former sounds a bit as if they were trying to pull a Genesis lol. And Spydeath is uh, an..interesting combination of words indeed

Just when I thought it was quiet..too quiet... Thanks Falcarius (also for the subs!) Yes the blue wolf, like I spotted in that small screen pic quite a while ago Awakened Liger (so CAS or Evolt?, hopefully that will make Liger look less dorky..) Catarga (guessing a Caterpillar?) Dimepulsar = Dimetrodon most likely Dilophos YES a Dilophosaurus as I predicted a while ago, well was hoping for phen0type.proboards.com/thread/15067/which-dinosaurs-animals-zoids-wildSpydeath (Spinosaurus? or something flying? do a crow, do a big crow But most noticeably.. The Fang Tiger.. He was one of the "first 14" they even posted the concept pics this week, had the model pic up as well.. So don't understand the "delay" and why they pushed him back to next year after stuff that hasn't been shown yet? And I also thought that TT has been really stingy on info lately, not even better resoultion pics of the Kong, Tricera etc we saw last week.. So I'm guessing they're saving up news for WF2018?

Getting a new wolf would be cool, but it looks like there may also be a new dimetrodon. I'm curious about Spydeath (aside from being, in my opinion, a juvenile name), wondering if it will be a new bat or insect... a stealth platform of some kind.

I suspect Spydeath will be a spider type. And I'm glad we finally have names for the final two Supreme zoids - Ankylox sounds great, Pachykedos less so but oh well. I do wonder how Dilophos is written/pronounced relative to Diloforce. Also, at last, a whole fourth mammal! I love dinosaurs as much as the next dinosaur lover, but this line has been pretty heavy on them.
