As part of the countdown, here's the poster without the text! The new monkey is less than impressive. It looks so skinny and... well, like a budget Deadly Kong. Let's be honest. The Death Rex will also take some getting used to. I'm surprised just how low set it is, with the head taking up 50% of its height alone. Fang Tiger looks good overall, but I'd reserve judgement to see the shade of yellow in person. I appreciate that it gets new front paws at least. Stegosage looks really nice~

I think we are looking at the skeleton/unburied mode. Without the armor... Probably is more like a Hammer Rock than an Iron Kong.

I dont think this was posted yet, but this was posted today on Takara-TOMY's official youtube channel www.youtube.com/watch?v=ASk48JezSuM4:52 seconds from episode 1 Thoughts so far * The Cell Shading is pretty good. It integrates well with the animation. The CGI is better than Fuzors/Genesis, and is more detailed than anything we ever saw in NCZ or CC. While I prefer the style of cell shading used in the original anime series, this is still good. * The animation is serviceable at best. So far it isn't embarrassingly bad. Frame rate seems a bit choppy at parts, and I already noticed a few still frames. But that is't unusual in this industry. And this is a kids show in the ZOIDS franchise. If anything I am being unfair; this is on par with, if not better than, any ZOIDS animated series we have recieved up until now. * Side note: I hope this show does not frequently re-use aniamtion sequences. I am sure its going to happen with those cringe-inducing Wild Blast moves...I am dreading it.... * Main Character's design is tolerable with his VA. I will keep an open mind until we learn more about him...I am just very scared he will have a MC personality from shows like Metal Fight Beyblade and the like. Generic and uninteresting pieces of cardboard are not fun to watch every week. * This show got a lot of VA talent on board so no worries there. * God DAMN I want to be a part of the Fang Tiger team. I probably feel that way because I have a bias against the main protagonist...but Bacon, Sauce, and co seem like fun. I hope that these characters get properly developed. * On that note...this world makes very little sense. What is the purpose of gangs/teams/factions? What role do ZOIDS have in this society? I really hope that these ideas are properly addressed and integrated into the story.

So happy to see this! 4 minutes of mezmerisation. My thoughts, All I'll say is when I saw Fang Tiger for the first time I literally got goosebumps. I think it's love
And what is this green zoid I wonder. Standing on 2 legs, so some kind of Dino? Don't think we've seen the brown one either

Ahh, I love it! Goofy, yes, aimed at kids, yes, but I do still love it so. As Vig says the character animation is merely par for the course, but the zoid animation! They are truly giant, lumbering beasts - look at the way Fang Tiger approaches Arashi at 3:47, plus the tiny camera shakes add a real sense of weight. The two new dinos are a nice reveal, too. One thing that does bug me, though, is nobody casts a shadow. C'mon, it doesn't take that much longer to add a roundish blob below the 2D characters, and for the zoids you could just make a flat plane beneath them (or fudge the contours, if they're on rough ground) and render out a shadow for them.

Aha, so that's what the Team Supreme members pilot! Once the Triceradogos was revealed, I was expecting the ankylosaur and pachycephalosaur from the same manga page to get models too, but I didn't expect to see them so soon. At last I can make a complete (so far) list of who pilots what, even if not everything has been named yet...
TEAM FREEDOM: Arashi - Wild Liger, Penne - Scorpear, Onigiri - Gannontoise, Gyoza - Triceradogos TEAM SUPREME: Bacon - Fang Tiger, Sauce - Kabtor, Candy - Kabtor, Kuroame - Grachiosaurus, Avocado - ankylosaur, Garlic - pachycephalosaur DEATH METAL EMPIRE: Emperor Gallagher - Death Rex, Drake - Gilraptor, Caviar - Gabrigator, Rakkyou - Kuwaga, clown - Stegosäge, hulk - Knuckle Kong, various mooks - Raptor ???: Tatsumaki (manga name) / Ikadzuchi (anime name) - Grachiosaurus
The anime looks to be sticking pretty close to the manga for now, apart from introducing all of Team Supreme straight away instead of just Bacon. The manga can't hope to keep pace, though, so I suspect we'll have another Chaotic Century situation where the two stories go in separate directions (although perhaps not set in fundamentally different universes this time). From what's been revealed so far, they at least seem to share the same setting: a fantasy Earth inhabited by wild, free-roaming Zoids, which are feared and avoided by ordinary civilians, captured and controlled by the Death Metal Empire, or tamed and befriended by resistance fighters like Team Supreme.

I'm very excited to see these new Zoids! Talk about exciting! A pachy has been high on my list of desired Zoids for a long time (not counting Buster Head). While the Gunblaster will always be my favorite Anky, I do indeed hope that this one is more focused on smacking things around. That Pachy is HUGE though! I don't even know if it'd have to use that dome skull to run over something like the Anky.
The anime takes some liberties on the events of the manga, which I appreciate. I do indeed hope it deviates story wise as well, it'd make it a lot more interesting. I still find it strange somewhat that Grachiosaurus is also a Supreme Zoid? I mean, it makes sense to have doubles of some Zoids, it's just an odd choice when Tatsumaki has one as well.
Animation: Character animation is ok-ish. It's not bad, it's just not very lively right now. The Zoid animation could use some work, but I do still like it. I hope we see more interactive battles as so far this is exactly what I feared: He leaps, pan to the Zoid being damaged in a slow motion frame. It's very early to say much, though!

It seems the Pachy an Anky are entirely different designs, but I'm assuming the manga versions are placeholders. Wonder if we'll see any differences with the Book Release of Zoids Wild? Is this from the app? It doesn't sound very positive. Though, also, if it is in the concept art book style... I will be very sad. I don't like this style. It is unique but that is the only point of credit I can give it. It is warped and often confusing to look at. The art style takes so much away from the designs of the Zoids... EDIT: It's apparently out, but I cannot play until an apk is posted somewhere. I could never get the Japanese google play account thing to work. It seems to include some anime style images too, though? Interesting that they should go with two different styles.

Got them! Tortoise, raptor, liger and gator 2420. Kabtor and scorpear 960 yen
Are these prices correct? I thought tortoise was cheaper, but all the boxes are the same size...and ZOIDS is all about box size.
