Hey folks! Got started on my third ever repaint. Though this time, instead of a Zoid I've already built I'm kinda jumping in blind with one I never built before. So this is gonna be a challenge because I can't exactly see what surfaces are exposed and what's hidden. Either way, it looks like it's gonna turn out awesome! However I kinda underestimated how dark the gunmetal paint actually is, it's almost the exact same as the Fury's black parts except shiny. Still going to use it though to help break up the black. The caps will still be red, but rather than the slightly magenta red, they'll be red red. Please excuse the changing light, it's sunny one sec and then cloudy the next. Also I know the Fury has balance issues, and tail weight issues... trying to figure out how to deal with those.

Got a few more progress shots. The paint coverage isn't the best, and I'm already running out of gold paint >_< I also had some troubles with the tail joint. I actually broke the part where the tail connects to the body in my attempt to tighten the joint so the tail didn't droop. But with a bit of epoxy I got it back together. But either way it's turning out really nicely!

See, I've heard people complain about the Fury's joints, but these complaints perplex me because I must have the most stable Fury on planet Earth. I haven't had a single issue with my Fury's joints in the over two years I've had it now.
Musings aside, the gold is incredible and contrasts Silver Strike very well

On my Fury I did have the loose tail issue, haven't gotten to the legs/feet yet so we'll see on that.

The gold's turned out to be amazing! However, it looks like I'll need to buy more, a lot of the pieces still have a lot of the lavender showing through, but here's some update pics anyways! And, I have always been a bit apprehensive about BF's proportions. It's legs are so goofy! Like who though this was a good idea!! xD

a lot of the pieces still have a lot of the lavender showing through Hmm. Did you not prime them? Black primer is generally a good idea under metallic paints, and I would think that would take care of the lavender. I'm planning to paint mine white, and tbqh I'm expecting this to be a problem even with primer... sigh.

So the coating is nice on one side but still lavender on the other. I coulda worded that better lol.

The gold turned out really well. I've always loved how gold contrasts with black and red. Come to think of it, didn't I use those colors on a Rex before?

The backpack is done! And I did go ahead and order another can of gold paint. So once I give some of the armor another coat and put the decals on, I'll be done!

It's so beautiful!!! The reason for the legs is koto seemed to get very confused about how to adapt the proportions of the motorized kits. You see they don't look that weird when they're folded up

Lovin everything about this. The color is a beautiful gold, and the coverage is nice and even. The paint looks very smooth.

You have an excellent eye for color. I have been wanting to repaint my TOMY Zero's (I think I even mentioned this on your Silver Zero thread) and honest to god, the lavender on the Fury isn't doing it for me anymore.
What paints do you use? I would love to experiment with this line of colors.
