Oh, I know... but there isn't a Storm Sworder Jet (stealth), is there? With the rectangular intakes: Ah, ok. No, they never made that version, but I didn't even know about it because I checked out of the early 00s anime at the start of NCZ. They made an Ala Barone variant version, but that's it. So I guess the TDP Jet isn't really a Jet.

Yeah, it was the quick and dirty answer to creating the Stealth. I just thought it would be cool to have this one. ^_^

I just thought it would be cool to have this one. ^_^ If only there was a way to modify kits into different things. We could call it... customization.

I've heard of that! I'll have to look it up and see how someone does that....

Once again, very nice work! Man, the white looks SO much better than the purple!

Once again, very nice work! Man, the white looks SO much better than the purple! I'll never understand that color choice. It's been, what, 15 years now and I'm still baffled. I took one look at the original version way back when and just thought, yeah, this needs to be white. But that was way before I would've known what to do about it.

Wow, coming along great! I'm glad you talk about your process; it's cool hearing about the areas you hand painted. Really like the direction you're going in (though I have a soft spot for the kitchenware) as well as the color scheme. Just because it's a Koto kit I have to ask: did you do any physical mods to improve stability?

did you do any physical mods to improve stability? No. That's why it's balanced on a microset bottle in that one pic. There aren't really any stability problems except for the ankles, that just kind of happens to ruin everything. I don't know if maybe the feet aren't pushed all the way together, we'll see how stable they are when I've actually finished assembling the kit. But I'll probably end up building something into the display base to prop the kit up under its belly, maybe an arm from a Gundam base or something.

More progress on the Berserk Fuhrer. I don't mention this in the blog, but as it turned out, the solution for the ankles was basically just to angle the bottom joint backwards a bit so that gravity pulls them in the direction they're supposed to be. The bad news is that trying to take apart said ankle joint after I had assembled it with paint on it a) turned out to be impossible and b) resulted in broken peg that needed to be pinned. But it's all lookin' good now and you can't see the mangled parts, so I guess it's ok and I got the pose I wanted. roboshopblog.wordpress.com/2019/08/11/kotobukiya-hmm-berserk-fuhrer-berserker-rex-wip-2/

Man, that just looks fantastic! It almost bears no resemblance to the toy at this point; its just a super cool high end model! The colors, mods, and weathering have all turned out outstanding!

Oh, sorry... that was poorly worded. I know it is the Koto kit, but I meant to say that as you have finished the BF it looks entirely different than the purple dino of the original line. I had thought you modded the ankles, but after re-reading the post it sounds more like working with a balance issue. I'm still surprised that they didn't fully articulate the feet on the BF kit.

Ah, the articulation on the feet is pretty decent, it's just the closest the kit has to a weak spot and it mostly just stands out because the engineering is great otherwise.
