The other kit that has always sparked my imagination was Palace Athena... just one big, bad-arse 'mech! That's an HG, though, and it's 1/144th scale, so it's probably a pretty small kit. Costs like 15 bucks and you can get it all painted up in a week. You know, if you're looking for an excuse to do a Gundam kit. ;-)

Yeah, but that's one I wouldn't mind being an 18" tall mega-detailed kit. Wicked design!

That's one of the big problems with Bandai's Gunpla kits - the 1/144th scale HG line gets all the weird and unusual designs, and it's very rare that the bigger and/or more detailed lines are anything but main character suits (i.e. actual Gundams, which all tend to look similar) because those are more popular and then sell more.
If you want to get bigger kits of some weird designs, look into the RE 100 line. They're the same scale as the Master Grades, but simpler, so they're cheaper to develop and they're thus more willing to take risks with weird designs like the Bawoo and the Hamma-Hamma.

Big huge giant picture compendium blog today. I've been painting almost nothing but Warhammer miniatures for the past 2 months, plus a Ma.K and a Full Metal Panic kit, and since the blog is supposed to be Gunpla and Zoids, I didn't quite know what to do with all this stuff. For now I just tossed all the pics together, but I'll probably have to add some categories and change the description of the blog because this isn't a temporary thing, I really am enjoying doing other things. roboshopblog.wordpress.com/2018/11/27/november-2018-my-warhammers-let-me-show-you-them/

Hey, models are models, even if they are WH40k! Maybe add a sidebar type thing for "other" kinds of kits?

Hey, models are models, even if they are WH40k! Maybe add a sidebar type thing for "other" kinds of kits? Yeah, it's going to be either that or new separate categories. I think at this point it's pretty clear that the Warhammer stuff deserves its own category. I'll just also have to change the "Gunpla and Zoids" tagline. I was thinking "mecha modeling and more" or something else goofy with lots of alliteration. We'll see.

Wow i painted some WH 40 K by myself and really like to see your work with them! The slaughterpriest is definitely my favorite but all the others are nice too! So if you do more of them-perfect! Also very interested in the Maschinenkrieger line but my defender mechs are nearer on my focus at the moment.

Ah, you opted for the one with the figure (or as you say, weaboo pedo kit haha) instead of just the bike. I was a little interested in the carrier trailer thing but hadn't seen much on the Rapid Raider yet, so thanks for the review. Sadly, your description of the build is pretty similar to how I felt putting together the Powered Guardian-- stuff is always falling off or about to fall off which is a shame because the designs are undeniably cool. Good luck with all your in-progress projects!

Ah, you opted for the one with the figure (or as you say, weaboo pedo kit haha) instead of just the bike. Yeah, I don't really recommend that unless you really want to have the blue clear parts for the wheels - the kit that's just the bike has those in red. Other than that, you're just paying way too much for the figure compared to what the bike costs on its own. Plus painting over red is kind of a pain. Anyway, I trust we're all fans of Kotobukiya here and I certainly am, but at this point, I'm pretty sure their name is Japanese for "cool concept, flawed execution."

Didn't have anything else for this month, so here's a review of the Storm Sworder Jet instead.

I love that kit! Kind of surprised there isn't an HMM of it yet, but there is always hope!

Oh, I know... but there isn't a Storm Sworder Jet (stealth), is there? With the rectangular intakes:
