I barely come on here any more (usually just to see if it's still up and running) and omigosh I had completely forgotten about Valga and now I need to hunt one down! I recently started hunting for zoids again so this little guy will have to be added to the list. That spring-loaded catapult roll is freaking sweet!

Weathering is the best way to repaint IMO. Great job.
I still have a bunch of HMMs that are years old that I havent built. I hope my Namoi Sniper is a better kit than the standard. Thanks for the review.

I don't have the Naomi version, but looking at some pics online, I can tell you a lot of the exact same details in the official build pictures are painted - don't expect it to actually look like those pics OOB...

Updated today with the HGUC Banshee Norn. roboshopblog.wordpress.com/2017/07/29/hguc-banshee-norn/This turned out to be kind of another "how to save this kit from it's own crappiness" enterprise, I'm afraid. Not sure what I'll do next. I'm working on an RX 78-2 3.0 right now, but I may write about another motorized Zoid first.

I am really surprised you like the Norm over the Destroy Mode. I have 2 HGUC Banshee Destroy. One of them is the clear version, which my brother has on display in his room (it looks awesome). The other is mine, and is currently looking for a new home. Any particular reason you dont like destroy?
My only issues with all the HG Unicorns are the stickers and the backpack. 4 Unicorn variant kits later, and I have broken 3 blade holsters pegs on the backpack.
I need RG's to be made for IBO. I havent seen other series and I need to be buying kits I know I love.

I am really surprised you like the Norm over the Destroy Mode. I have 2 HGUC Banshee Destroy. One of them is the clear version, which my brother has on display in his room (it looks awesome). The other is mine, and is currently looking for a new home. Any particular reason you dont like destroy? Uh, not sure what you mean... this one is in destroy mode. The Banshee Norn is the version with the big shield AKA the "Armed Armor DE" and the mane on the backpack, the regular version has the big weapon attachments to the arms. Regular Banshee: Banshee Norn: The mane especially is what really makes the Banshee look different from the Unicorn, and the shield is all kinds of awesome - I actually definitely prefer the Banshee in destroy mode because that's when it really looks like a different suit, in Unicorn mode it's just kind of a Unicorn Gundam with a weird wing on its forehead. It's with the Unicorn itself where I'm a bit more torn - I like both modes about the same and actually built an MG and a PG Unicorn so that I could display them in the two different modes. Something about that plain, but segmented look of Unicorn mode just looks really good to me - I've also always liked the Patlabor suits, and it kind of reminds me of that. I don't know if you know this, but there's an RG Unicorn coming out soon. I keep saying I probably won't buy it because I'm sure it'll be what I've come to call a RealGrenade, but I'll probably cave in eventually. Aside from the MG and the PG Unicorn and the HGUC Banshee I also already have an MG Phenex and an HGUC Unicorn on display and a PG Banshee that I haven't built yet. And another PG Unicorn that I'm holding off on until my pre-shading gets better. I can't stop building Unicorns, it's really kind of sad. Haha. Anyway, I'm sure they'll eventually make RGs of some IBO suits, they seem to be super popular. But if you're looking for an RG to buy, get the Mk-II. Unless you really don't like the look of it, obviously, but if you do like it, it's an extremely good kit. Super fun to build, poseable and most importantly it doesn't explode when you touch it.

Ah. My bad. My brother and I have the HGUC Gundam Unicorn Banshee Destroy (not norm). I personally prefer the unique armaments.to just a shield and boring gun.
Cool that the MG allows you to change the weapona like that with ease.

Aw jeez, man, I wish you hadn't told me about the clear version. Now I've checked that out and I want one. Hahahaha.
Did I mention I've also ordered an MG Banshee Norn by now? Amiami actually had it at a reasonable price. I think I need to ban myself from buying Unicorns for a year or something.

The HGUC Unicorn Destroy Plated version, and the HGUC Clear Banshee Destroy are 2 phenominal looking kits. The latter solves your issue with stickers and the psycho frame. The blue is more akin to a purple and the clear gold is awesome.

I don't know how I feel about these plated kits. I have an MG Phenex, and it does look absolutely spectacular, plus the quality of the coating is just excellent, it's almost impossible to damage the stuff. But it just sort of sits there looking pretty and I feel like I didn't do anything except paint the feet and the backpack, and I don't really like that anymore.
Except when I'm building Real Grades. That's different. That doesn't count. *cough*
Anyway, I just wrote up another blog, but it's nothing too interesting, just something to read if anyone's insanely bored, and a picture of a Gundam kit I'm working on right now.

One more before I go on vacation again - Real Grade Mk-II Gundam. roboshopblog.wordpress.com/2017/08/04/real-grade-gundam-mk-ii-a-e-u-g/I've kinda been doing a lot of Gunpla and not much Zoids lately, so we'll see what's next. I'm just wrapping up a MG RX 78-2 that I'm kinda anxious to show off soon, but I also feel like I don't want to have 3 Gunpla blogs in a row. Sigh.

Do you know what gauge/diameter wire is used? My barbatos lupus rex HG needs a new one.
Awesome review. I havent seen a single UC Gundam show but MK2 Titans is one of my favorite designs. I might pick this up to try out the RG line for the first time.

The Real Grade kit looks wonderful! I was wondering how large the final size is... for some reason it seems on the smallish side compared to other kits I've seen. Maybe it is the roundish nature of the inner parts? Striking kit, though. Striking clean contrast between the colors, too.

Do you know what gauge/diameter wire is used? My barbatos lupus rex HG needs a new one. I dunno, maybe half a millimeter? I'm not home this week, so I can't measure it for you, but honestly, I think pretty much anything that fits inside the hose works. I'd get coated wire, though, to avoid damaging the fabric. If that's what the Barbatos has, I don't have that kit.
