I know the feeling all too well. Zeekdober is the same way. Was hoping that the damage boost from EX levels would make energy not an issue since it'd be dealing double damage, but it still often runs out. Thankfully by then most Zoids will run away.
Yeah, I feel bad for Gordos. I know the numbers didn't look good on paper, but Zoids were more than capable of taking them down before. Just, they had to be watched carefully while attacking their teammates. I think it did fine. Maybe it was in expectation of the EX boost that was gonna happen?
These buffs all happened on the 2.0.0 update, so the Shieldy nerf is more recent. It's not any different since the nerf. And yeah, the Geno weapon got pretty strong! It went from around (lvl 1) 224 x4 damage to 356 x4 (lvl 20, EX lvl 1). So I'm guessing at least a 70 damage buff or so?
The new icon is a "Platinum VS Mode" where you can only match with other players in the Platinum league. I'm guessing this is for people who got fed up with getting newbies and death saurers on their team.

True that, Gordos's with 2x ex99 Long range would be a worry, still, so is lightning saix and genosaurer and other comparable long ranges. Anyone who ex levelled both gordos guns would be crying.
Ahah so I thought, so clicking on the platinum league pretty much makes the game like it was before the spec introduction update. On one hand it's good there'll be no sitting newbies to screw up the game but on the other hand the platinum players will be so much stronger and no weaklings to target haha. Seems like it'd only work during busier times though anyway so there wont always be a choice.

Oh man, you weren't kidding about the Jagers. They're insanely more fast and agile than they were in the pre-release videos. I don't see any reason that it needed a buff. Unless those are EX 99? Even so. Saix could definitely use a buff to its boosters.
Been taking my other Zoids out a bit and it's a little awkward with them not being very strong but high SPEC. I'm also finding disconnects just as rampant for those battles as lower ones, since as soon as people realize the enemy has a high EX or something, they ditch. So far my battle record today is: 2 battles with a full team. 7 battles with 3 members. 2 battles with 2 members (including myself.) It as been a nightmare. Maybe I'll say screw the EX metals and just not battle for a few days. Its been way too frustrating.
For the platinum battles, I'll probably pass. They take too long to match and there's no bonus, so just easier to do normal battles.

See! Told you they were crazy fast! You might be right about the insanely fast ones being ex 99 because yea they don't all seem to be like that, but still even the ones non levelled up quicker than any other zoid out there by far. Don't think I'll bother with Jagers special daily missions, 5 wins with Jager a day is a big ask, easy with Saber Tiger now but without the superfast special (wait, does it have a name) it's just going to be too hard and time consuming. If it's still there come the weekend I'll give it a shot and hope my experience with Jager is better than last time. Saix definitely needs a buff to the boosters, they barely do anything I don't know why people bother equipping it.
As for disconnects, maybe you were playing at an unfortunate time or something because My battles today have been fine, I did have a match where an enemy gorilla disappeared mid match but that's about it. And We did lose a player maybe yesterday but nothing more than usual. I can understand the frustration though. Hope your luck matching with players improves.
Yea normal battles is all i've been doing too. on another note Interestingly I encountered a really fast genobreaker today, the subpilot was Trinity , must have been level 10 and the player was in the 24 thousands and they were strong but I was able to hold it off so we could win the match, was a hard bugger to catch though, it would see me coming then run into the bushes , was just able to catch it when it stopped to fire the grenade launcher. Maybe I should grab a vid of it.

Ion Booster I would assume. Know anyone that has the Saix booster at 99? I wonder if it gets the same boost effect or if it just lasts a little longer. I imagine the disconnects were indeed poor luck/people being crappy, but they were spread out throughout the day. It ended in something like 11 battles, still with only 2 battles with a full team.
They now have a "win 5 times a day" daily mission for 1 EX metal... That should be at least 2! Especially if you don't have a nice fancy Zoid, it'll take forever. The fast Geno breaker was something! (Also, I felt the pain of it dying and wasting the EN for one of those double shots. Happens so often.)
For Saix, I occasionally use the boosters just for fun, but they barely do anything. One of the matches last night I had a Liger Zero chase me all over the field. He wanted some Saix Ribeye for sure. But, we had two C Wufs and the enemy team had the Zero and Jager. So I decided to lead him around, since at least it kept one of the destroyers away from our wolves. Every time he fell behind I'd stop and wait for him, then keep going.
At first would stop and do donuts then realized "Oh right, we're not supposed to do that anymore." Either way, I got him in 2 more battles after that. He most definitely remembered the donuts. Beelined right for me, every time. Got me a few times when I tried to shoot stuff, or let him get too close. I could at least get enough of a head start to stop and shoot a base every now and then, but his whole life was dedicated to catching that darn Saix. It was a different kind of battle for sure.

We have some very note worthy weapons coming in ! In the latest ZOIDS FOR YOU video Go straight to the 28:30 mark and the new weapon introductions begin there. But anyway as I thought there always should be we are getting a shield attack for shield liger! looks like it's just gonna be a straight jump style attack like a strike claw etc and not have the ability to run around freely like the normal shield or Jager etc. Also very very cool and something I thought should have always existed is Geno breakers Grappling arms feature. Being called Hyper killer claw. It'll drag the zoid it grabs closer, then let's just hope it has some good close range combat weapons to attack the grabbed zoid with! Not sure I'd want to grab an Iron fin Saber Tiger or a pvp liger zero and bring it any closer lol. Not quite sure how quickly the zoid can run away either once grabbed as the zoids they demonstrated on were stationary. Guess We'll find out later. Konig wolf is getting it's own special repair unit. And I believe for supporter zoids in general a Base repair unit is being introduced! That's a first, and a good idea really seeing as the current strategy now seems to be get all 3 bases down to red so the enemy team can't deploy the Deathsaurer then destroy the last spec of health in the last couple of minutes. It's a direct result of there being no incentive to fully destroy the bases seeing as small zoids spawn from the location anyway. When this base repair unit comes into place, and if there's enough support zoids with it equipped. It could very well make players want to destroy the bases quickly instead.

The HP Repair Unit (%) is actually a supporter exclusive, which is even better news IMO. I never liked that the Gordos had both the best attack options of a supporter and the strongest repair unit, since it just made other supporters kind of useless in comparison. At least until the appearance of the König Wolf and the Electric Fanger, which was only useful because it made the König Wolf act more like a destroyer than a true supporter.
Though, it is likely the % will be small to start with, so may not be useful for lower SPEC battles. Unless they just want to make the older repair unit (300 HP) obsolete. Not sure how I feel about the base one. I'm excited for it but at the same time, it depends on how much it restores. I do appreciate that people will have to pay attention to if a supporter is sitting in a base. I also understand the strategy of leaving bases with a tiny sliver of HP, but while useful, never cared for it myself. I've lost battles because the team was too conservative, leaving it almost in the orange, and then refused to attack the bases until it was far too late to destroy them all. It feels like such a stupid loss. Slightly less of an issue if you spam the knockdown cheapness, but still. I also foresee this making HQ charges completely pointless unless coinciding with a Large Zoid attack.
Excited to see the Killer Claw. It's interesting to see who will be running around with 2 melee weapons. They'll have their own set of challenges, but at close range, they'll be deadly. I imagine destroyers will be an issue if they miss, but if they hit, the knockdown of a followup will buy them time to step back. The Shield Attack is so-so, but I think there'll be some shieldies using it. I just don't think it'll be any more useful, even with its extra bonuses, than just using a normal shield and the strike claw.
I'm also really looking forward to the changes to drop containers. I imagine slots will fill up fast, but there's always Co-op if you want to farm containers. It'll be nice to have some good ones sitting on standby for when you're at work, out of the house, in bed, etc.

Yea funny these special weapons are converting several non destroyer zoids into acting like destroyers, Lightnig Saix, K wuf, Geno saurer to name a few. Looks like we wont have to worry too much about the base repair unit, as can be seen in this video It seems to take over a minute and a half to reload! It's have to be a significant repair to justify that thing taking up a slot.
I've come to peace with the tactic of leaving a little health on the bases where at first I wasn't so sure, it's so much easier getting them all down into red without having to sacrifice a couple of precious minutes taking down the large zoid. Though basically I wont wait till the end just get them all red then destroy the last one completely, then the goal is to have them all destroyed whilst the enemy large zoid is being set up so if all goes to plan can focus completely on the large zoid. I've been finding large zoids quite easy to take down lately with these ex 99 weapons.
Speaking of I got 35mm to ex99 which brings it to 466 damage which is very exciting seeing as it's a versatile weapon I tend to use for most zoids as a side option. And Finally Gave Saber tiger the final upgrade. The first memory unit upgrade I've done yet.
I haven't seen any of the new weapons in use yet, apart from Maybe a shield liger with the shield attack. Maybe.
As for the drop containers received even for losing well it makes me feel not as bad for losing, even though most of the time I receive another ex99 weapon thus metal. Better than nothing though. Were there any other changes to the drop containers? I never read up on it.

Yeah, it's definitely a challenge to use, it seems. Do we know yet how long the HP Repair Unit (%) takes to reload?
Yeah, not dealing with the large Zoids is nice, but fighters can usually solo a large Zoid. Especially if it's not being escorted, so I don't mind them as much. Lost yet another battle last night with 2 hits or so left on one base. Unfortunately, with barely enough time to spare, the Jager launched the Large Zoid down the right lane instead of the center lane where the base was located. He spammed sorry for the rest of the fight, felt a bit bad for him, even if it cost us the match. Everyone makes mistakes.
Wow, the 35mm is insanely powerful at EX 99! Congrats on the Saber, too! How much did the 3rd upgrade kick up his SPEC? Any idea? I'm thinking of making the Konig Wolf my first. Still very on the fence about what to upgrade next EX level wise. I'm leaning towards the SR Long Range Rifle, but it'd also be nice to split that EX metal between an HP Repair Unit and a 35mm. I think I'm going to not spend the metal until I have enough to fully upgrade whatever weapon I choose, so I have time to think beyond my impulses.
I've seen the Shield Attack (used primarily for attempted HQ murderization) and the All Weather Radar. The poor Dimetrodon couldn't land a hit, though. He'd get hit with a knockdown almost every single time and get knocked out of range right as the weapon activated. It was both funny and sad.
For the Drop Containers, the Silver ones obtained from VS Mode no longer drop SR weapons. The containers obtained from win will now only be blue/purple/super, no silver containers will drop from victories. The silver containers from Co-Op still drop SR weapons. (This is such a silly change imo. You can do 4-5 Co-op battles in the time it takes to lose 1 VS battle, but I guess it's to keep people motivated to play Co-op, maybe?)

No idea yet how long the HP % repair unit takes to reload. I'll keep an eye out on twitter though.
My biggest problem with destroying large zoids in Saber tiger is the small zoids creeping up from behind, It's near impossible to kill the damm things and they really hurt saber tiger, yet when I'm in Lightning saix or Konig wolf I can take a hit from a small zoid like it's a missile from Barigator.
For Saber Tigers upgrade it raised the spec by about 209000. I was 429539 before the upgrade and after became 639233. Still considering how strong the Iron fin is it's not as bad as Lightning saix's over 1000 spec. Whenever I take Lightning saix out for a run now days I know I'm up for some serious enemy contest.
I'm on the same page in regard to what to do with ex metal now I've got what I mainly wanted to 99, Just gonna keep it there and throw it at what I decide is fun to use next.
Ah that's right don't wanna be hit by the all weather radar now, IIRC the effect lasts longer AND affected zoids can not lock on. Wonder if the Disable lock on feature lasts as long as the radar outage, because that would be disastrous.
Ah good to know how the containers work, mind you I played plenty of battles today and had 10 wins getting all the daily missions etc and didn't receive a single purple or super container. They're getting stingy haha. I haven't done a co-op in a while. Been pre-occupied with the daily missions they've been giving us.

This is true, small Zoids are outright deadly to destroyers. I suppose it'd make it an entirely different ballgame! That's not too bad on the SPEC. That seems to be a pretty average fighting range for good Zoids right now. The containers also are as random as expected. I've gotten 3 Purple containers and 1 Super Container so far. Usually when I don't want them, knowing I'll be fighting for a while. The daily missions are usually my main concern, too. Gotta scrape together those pennies/EX metals.
The All Weather Radar has the same effects/times as before, but disrupts targeting, which will not last as long as the jamming of the radar. Thankfully. Otherwise it'd be a lot scarier! I'm still not sure it justifies using the Dimetrodon, but if you did get hit by it, it'd hurt. Especially if you're under pursuit by other Zoids, now with no good way to defend yourself.
Also, today I encountered the Hyper Killer Claw. What a scary weapon. I had just reached the river at the start of the fight and lunged in with the Hellblazers to hit the enemy Godos and their Commander. Out of the blue a Geno Breaker's killer claws snatched my Zeek Dober by the butt fluff, right out of his charge, and reeled him in. I didn't have time to escape the followup shot, which instantly knocked me down, and when I got up I realized I had like 20% of my health left! I had to retreat immediately, right at the start of battle. It felt so surreal. Nevermind unexpected! I'm guessing his side weapon (can't even remember what it was) had a high EX, because ouch.
I quickly learned the reach of it. There's a split second delay before and after you get reeled in, which can be mid attack- and depending on where you're grabbed, you may or may not have a chance to escape. Not usually. I only got away once, when he just barely snatched my tail area so Zeekdober was off center when he got reeled in. Flailed out of the gun range at the last second. I was so paranoid the whole battle because he got me (and a lot of other people) SO many times with it.
One time I entered the center lane, realized I didn't see 4 blips on the radar. I was immediately like "Oh god, he's in the trees" and fled towards the river. Sure enough a second later I hear that terrible metal reeling and the claw shoots out of the forest. Thankfully missed me that time, but I'm pretty sure that sound has caused me some serious trauma. I only managed to handle it somewhat at point blank range, trying to keep right up against him so that it shot past me, but he was too strong to bring down in one encounter. IIRC (might not it was so chaotic!) we actually won because they were too busy slaughtering us to target the bases.

Genobreaker sounds terrifying haha. I was curious of the sound so I went back to the ZOIDS FOR YOU vid to listen to it again. Maybe now if I encounter it in battle I can listen for the sound. Damm fine artwork you done of it on twitter btw! Zeekdobers eyes the terrified cuteness. ahh love it. Anyway so seems like it works like K wufs electric fang then? Like it can shoot straight after it sorta thing and do crazy damage ey. With K wuf I find I can often avoid the first shot by running sideways ASAP, doesn't always work and depends on the weapon they are firing sorta thing but always worth a try. Anyway I kinda want to experience This claw in battle now. I'll be recording!

Yeah, the sound is a bit too late to avoid it, but if you hear it near by, you know to avoid those bushes at least. There's not a great chance of getting in close before it snags you. In my case, it wasn't the claw that was doing tons of damage, but the shock cannon? S. The red one. Because I was reeled into point blank range they had no trouble hitting. And thanks! I may try to do more art based off of interesting battles in the future. And yeah, it can shoot pretty fast after reeling in. The problem with dodging it is that the hitbox is bigger than the tiny string, of course. So it's not always easy to predict. You can see it in action here. This turned out to be the Geno Breaker that I was fighting! They seem pretty good at snagging unsuspecting Zoids with it. And dragging them out of the base into a Death Stinger... That's so positively evil! It would be such a useful weapon to have. (Also finally getting to the missions for my Grape Ape and lol even at level 50 with the Diablo it's still only 60,000 SPEC. Poor thing.)

On my god that is hilarious! HAhaha, I've always wanted to pull players out of a base when they hide like that! And into the Deathstinger even better, that's just fantastic and so evil , just gotta try make sure they haven't been knocked out so they can actually receive the damage from the large zoid. Maybe I'll start working on levelling up Genobreaker in preparation for that fun looking weapon.
Grape ape sounds like it'd be tough! Gotta be careful with what zoid is taken into the battlefield these days. Has the matching server at least been kind to you in regard to spec matching?

The matching range goes up to 460,000 so... it could be worse? But I've been surprisingly lucky. The Diablo is scary enough that I don't find myself actively pursued very much. It does a decent chunk of damage (273x3 atm) but it's more than survivable for any destroyer that wants to kill me. They just don't usually figure that out! I'll be happy to finally upgrade him after the missions, though. Two wins away from the 10 win one, hopefully the rest of the journey goes this smoothly~
