TT's running another Twitter follow/retweet campaign, this time until the 5th of December, with two ZA Geno Breakers as prizes. (By the way, I tried signing up for the beta a month ago, but unfortunately I never got an invite.) Dare say it's for Japan residents only though, Still, can't hurt to try. And I didn't get an invite either. I get the feeling we'll be using the back door again and need to find the APK to download when it is finally released.

Still not much to report from official sources (although the preregistrations are nearing 100k), but I just came across some videos from a couple of beta testers that give a much better look at the game so far. There's plenty of stuff to go through, but for now, I'll translate some info on the "sub-pilots"... Vance Radford Full Burst: Veteran's Victory Intuition (greatly increases anti-Zoid attack of allied Zoids for 10 seconds) Passive Skill: Anti-Zoid Attack Up (increases anti-Zoid attack of piloted Zoid) Trinity Sinclair Full Burst: Wind Racing Across The Battlefield (greatly increases movement speed of allied Zoids for 10 seconds) Passive Skill: Movement Speed Up (increases movement speed of piloted Zoid) Allen McClellan Full Burst: Wild Battle Cry (greatly increases anti-small Zoid attack of allied Zoids for 10 seconds) Passive Skill: Anti-Small Zoid Attack Up (increases anti-small Zoid attack of piloted Zoid) Shawn Muirhead Full Burst: Concentration on Survival (greatly increases defence of allied Zoids for 10 seconds) Passive Skill: Defence Up (increases defence of piloted Zoid) Let's just hope people can't do this in the final version...

The main site's been given an update, with various (mostly unimportant) new pictures and info. There's a new gallery picture (Red Horns), a new "world" picture (pretty scenery), a new character (Eddie Veles), and a new video (a preview for an upcoming promotional video). We've also got subpages for gallery pics, videos, Zoids (only the four main ones from the beta, but with videos, basic NJR-esque descriptions and several new pictures) and characters (with their draft and completed images, plus approximate ages and profiles, although the latter are "coming soon"). Current characters/ages: Vance Radford (early 30s), Trinity Sinclair (early 30s), Allen McClellan (early 20s), Shawn Muirhead (early 40s), Anne Gaster (early 20s), Eddie Veles (early 40s) Oh, and we're past 150,000 preregistrations, which means there's a good chance of unlocking the "second campaign" (although it'll probably just be more Zoid Gold and stuff).

Like the main characters are keeping up with the long time serving fans. So great to see such a video too, short as it may be. For that brief moment we got a taste of what a Zoid movie may look like.

Oh look, another Twitter follow/retweet campaign. This one is celebrating 150k preregistrations, runs until 4/1, and has 2 HMM Ogres as prizes. I'd actually be tempted to enter this one, but it's probably Japan-only

It's been a couple of weeks since the preregistrations broke 200,000, but as of a few days ago, the "second campaign" has finally started! Unfortunately, this one is explicitly for Japanese residents only, but the prizes look interesting... Prize A (10 winners): A Masterpiece Shield Liger with a newly-drawn "sleeve package" by Yuji Kaida Prize B (5 winners): A newly-drawn art panel by Mercy Rabbit Prize C (3 winners): An HMM Gojulas The Ogre Prize D (30 winners): An "original zip-up parka" If there are any Japanese residents reading this, just click whichever prize you want on the main page, then Tweet the message it provides without changing anything. Entries close at midnight on the 19th of February. There's also a couple of new gallery pics, and a couple of old ones that have been resized for Twitter banners.

For once, I would love 3rd Prize! Or, is 1st Prize a choice of A, B, C, or D?

You had to choose which prize you wanted when entering, and it would include it as a hashtag in your Twitter post. The campaign obviously earned some publicity, since preregistrations are now over 500k! The main site has also added a few new Zoid profiles (Command Wolf, Saber Tiger, Dibison and Red Horn) and five new characters: Duane Bertoni (late 20s), Dean Faraday (late teens), Fearne Kimberley (around 30), Rosario Livingstone (around 30), Sienna Lily (around 30) Still no detailed info, but hopefully we'll get more soon.

Was looking at the Zoid profiles earlier after seeing the Command Wolf pics on twitter, and gotta say, I love that they try to give them some nice dynamic poses instead of just static 3/4 views. I like the C Wufs pictures especially~

Nice reuse going on there. The Red Horn is exactly the same model from Zoids Struggle I've also exported and messed around with in ZPOC... minus the breakable parts that is. I didn't not check the others but I would say all other models are reused too. I don't fault them for this. It's just interesting to see that they did not change one tiny thing on the model. Even the texture is exactly as-is. EDIT: Quickly checked Saber. Exactly the same model. Maybe we could try hacking in the different costume skins of these... would give Desert Saber

Honestly I'm amazed that people are still even paying attention to this considering how masterfully gigantic of a let down this was.

I wouldn't be surprised if all the other Struggle/FMC Zoids are reused models too, but that still leaves Shield Liger, Gordos, Godos and Molga as new ones. ...Also, it's kinda interesting to realise that mobile phones now have similar capabilities to a PS2 or Gamecube, at least when it comes to 3D models. I feel old. And with characteristic timeliness, the Field of Rebellion Twitter has announced that the game's been postponed from "winter 2016" to "spring 2017"

I would have to check the other two but I would not be astonished if they are reused too. Shieldy is though not from Struggle but Vs if I'm not mistaken by just eyeing the model.

Nope, the FoR Shield Liger model is more detailed than the one from the VS series (check the legs and chest gun in particular). Anyway, the website has put up a bunch of in-game screenshots and some basic gameplay descriptions. Not much we haven't seen already, but there does seem to be a decent selection of weaponry (plus separate options to "strengthen" and "upgrade" your Zoid). Over in the Zoid section, Zoids are now labelled with their "role" - Commander (Iron Kong/Command Wolf, good at buffing your smaller Zoids' attack), Destroyer (Geno Saurer/Saber Tiger, good at destroying enemy players), Supporter (Gordos/Red Horn, good at buffing your defence) and Fighter (Shield Liger/Dibison, good at destroying the enemy's smaller Zoids). Still no updates to the movie section, though
