I don't know if anybody else has seen it, but apparently the motor that come siwth the barigator TS can fit on multiple zoids: zoido.smeat.net/ts-thruster-system-motor.. Too abd these things are relatively rare, you could use them to add more customization options to a variety of zoids. Especially sicne while it uses one peg, it has a whopping five pegs on it so you are adding 4 pegs. If there was a way to amke a copy even without the modified windup motor and battery pack it would still be awesome. Imagine adding an entire set of all 3 CP for the snipe master on the SM. Boosters? Missiles? Shields? You got pegs for that. Might takes some clever positioning to mount them all, but you could do it. Or use it to add guns to the Helcat or other zoids.

Whoa, I never knew about that thing! That's.... really interesting. Makes me wonder about the future of zoids the next time they come back properly

Whoa, I never knew about that thing! That's.... really interesting. Makes me wonder about the future of zoids the next time they come back properly The TS motor comes with Tiga Godos and The TS Merda and Barigator TS. ANd any standard small windup motor can replace it. Like from a spinosapper or a Guysak. Or the one in a Rev Raptor. Biggest problem is 1: where to squeeze the wires so they're not pinched. 2: where to mount it. Accourding to Zoid.US it also speed sup the zoids a bit, from just a little to "bat outta hell" for the Merda. It alos looks good on several zoids. WOuld probably also fit in the Garantula EX.

Not quite news for some of us that have followed Zoids for a while - Rebirth Century was to be a new wave of Zoids: updated and improved Zoids design, i.e. Dos Godos, a highly "evolved" design of Godos; and some re-release with or w/o new features, Crimson Horn, Dark Nessios, and Barigator TS. And yes, the new motor from Barigator TS did draw some fascination about retooling older Zoids (wind-up motors do wear out over time).
But as you see, the battery component does take a large external space, which can be problem for some Zoids. And the pegs could break off, which is a big concern for playability.

Yeah. SO you'd have to be careful or you'd need stronger plastic used. If they ahd launched an ANime to go with Rebirth Century it probably would have fared better. I'd love a crimson horn
I'd say the best advantage of the TS system is allowing zoids like the merda to have both weapons, or the fact it can be used to allow arming the Barigator with the CP-05 and keep it's missiles.
I guess it's all a trade off. I'd like one for a Helcat myself. I think it needs to be refined though. THose wires are way longer than they need to be and could break easily. That's the real problem with it for me. ANd the way the wires plug into it makes it look more like an intake than thrusters.

I believed the anime series were never that popular even in Japan - the ratings for all three Zoids series were pretty low compared to other popular anime, which may foced Tomy, now Takara Tomy, in a tough position. Also, anime is the never the best way to showcase the massive roster of Zoids, you can see in Fuzor and Genesis, the toy line was shrunk down to a fraction of NJR.
As for the TS motor, there was potential to bring new life into older Zoids, but I would rather see TT try to come up with a new mechanism design - I like the option to disengage the motor like, letting the legs loose.

SkyKnight Well, a video game might be better, and to be fair, FUzors really sucked, and whiel Genesis is better, the story line was way to weird compared to the others. As if they wanted to go "darker" and still wanted to keep it kid/teen friendly. And also needed an excuse for "blades on everything, forget guns". ANd the ball joints for some new models was cool, but apparently some people said they got extremely loose after posing a zoid and moving it or were really tight and stayed really tight. But they should also make sure you cna more easily disassemble them to use those ball joints if you want. Disengaging the motor would be a step in the right direction though.

I feel like the best thing they could do to make zoids big again would be a new anime that goes full-on gundam-y. make the story really solidly about zoids fighting for something significant and real, ideally a war. Give a lot of time and coverage to customization, make the main character something NOT just the same ol' kills-everything liger, but instead something with a lot of hardpoints. can't go wrong with a commandwolf. Every few episodes he should try out a totally new loadout. Or if not the main guy, at least a secondary main guy who's obsessed with being prepared.

Well the fact that none of the main characters ever suffer a huge loss is kinda lame. Biggest time it haened was inCC/GF. Or genesis, but Genesis barely feels like Zoids sometimes. And FUzors was just bad, totally dropped the ball and didn't explore who/what Vensu was and if other Zoids could come backa s people/zoidians or why she came back as a girl after she was killed as the Fire Pheonix. I think they could also use it as an excuse to remold some old zoids with MORE hard points, like a Raynos with hardpoints for missiles and a pteramander with more wing hard points too, and new kits and customize parts that are more common. And you could include odler kits not featured in the show simply by mentioning things like how they are related. Featuring a shadow fox with CP10s using an adaptor and then explaining how it was inspured by the versatile command wolf would get kids to want to see a command wolf. At least the fans, new and old. But a video game with tons of zoids in it ould be interesting too. A LONG one that encouraged development, exploration and customization. Like where you start with one of the 5 main first winde ups and can work up from there. But have it so you can;t get some zoids of the opposite side you start with, like if you choose imperial you can't just build a Blade Liger. But you can capture a C-wolf and upgrade it, or a Shadow Fox or even a godos and upgrade it to an Iguan. But make it so you can't get a zoid's specialized equipment seperate easily. SO there would be a reason to keep you Hel Cat around for it's active camo.

I like the idea of a balanced video game where all Zoids have their own niche (like you said with the Helcat), because in the Battle Story and anime(s), just having a "good" Zoid doesn't make you a good pilot, and vice versa. I'd like if everything was usable to an extent. In CC, the Guysack Stinger Special was a nice remodel of an old "grunt" Zoid that became far more powerful than one would anticipate. Molga Rokurou in the Battle Story was capable of taking down a Gojulas Giga single-handedly due to a very skilled pilot. I always promote the renouncing of black-and-white "is it good or bad" in regards to Zoid capabilities.

I always promote the renouncing of black-and-white "is it good or bad" in regards to Zoid capabilities. There's even a valaid strategy in ZOids VS 2/ZOids Battle Legends in the battle mode to select a pilot with powerful weapon attacks, and a decent partner, put your aprtner in the command wolf and...pilot the MOLGA. ANd it WORKS. I took out both tiger team Saber TIgers, and Brads C-Wolf and Leon's SHield Liger in the next match with the molga, partner AI sucks so all they did was distract them for me as I used the missiles. I even charged UNDER the Shield Liger and halted to trick it into melee then charged under it firing the missiles. In the CC battle mode I took out 3 sets of enemies before having to switch. it's all about ho you use the zoid. If the Partner AI was more capable you could go farther. Heck, if you use the Double pile bunkers on a rev Raptor or the Double Arms lizard you can trick the Death saurer of the CC battle mode into firing it's cpc and running around to stab it's tail ith the bunkers. Essentially stabbing it in the BUTT until it dies. Harder on some of the other large zoids but the Rev can euip weapon binders for missile and beam damage and the Demon Cannon works great too. ANd I've done that more than once. Speeding up the molga helps as well as a shield. Interestingly, the IKong can't hit the Molga with it's melee, the Molga is too low to the ground. Oh that reminds me, I took out the Trinity Liger and the Konig wolf with a molga in the Saga/Legacy battle mode. Just need to put your partner in a zoid that can take hits. And the molga isn't as capable as a guysak or a Godos in some cases, and I was using a STOCK Molga without the cannon and with only a few parts to up it's speed. SInce upping it's armor wouldn't do much good. Now imagine if i could put a specialty warhead on the missiles for armor penetration. Also, we went off topic, lol

Also, we went off topic, lol I played the heck out of Battle Legends, and I beat the CC battle mode with a Molga with triple Omega Plug Z's for REALLY high maneuverability as well as a booster (jumping with the booster seems faster than running, and gets you out of hell fast) for evading all attacks. I beat CC including Death Saurer with a little effort and using the Molga's various weapons loadouts, including the Geno Saurer Pulse Rifle, and the Canory Unit for big bosses. I was just thinking that the Molga should be even more capable, lol! To prove a point, I even beat most of the Mission Mode characters in battle mode using my custom Molga. Took down Albane's Gojulas Giga with the Rokurou setup no problem (almost got one-shotted by the supercannons), but the Matrix Dragon's weapon binders hit way too hard, and I resorted to the "tornado" spin-melee EX-attack to finish it off. Was really risky because the Dragon wouldn't get off my back to let me charge the attack, and I was at VERY low health (4 HP to be exact). Still, like you said, if the partners were less stupid (all 4 d-pad options seem to just call the guy into action rather than using any tactics), I'd be able to do way more.

Still, like you said, if the partners were less stupid (all 4 d-pad options seem to just call the guy into action rather than using any tactics), I'd be able to do way more. Well, i didn't have Ultra Zs yet so couldn't do that. The Ultrasaurus in CC is the real problem 2K damage before armor reduction would one shot any molga variant. The Rokurou would stand a better chance against more Zoids though. And the partners are really stupid "support" seems to mean "come in and run around and get slaughtered" combat just means they try using melee, the gunner one is the only useful one. As for the story mode...partners are generalllly useless, especially in the final fight. I saw the Ligers from BU in the empire mode try to MELEE the freaking Ultrasaurus! And you cana't tell them what to do so half the time you lose jsut because they kept trying to melee. ANd without them the enemy has even more units/firepower so it just makes it even harder. Also don't help tht your ally's mobile suits get weaker comparatively as you progress. From a snipe master to a gunsniper is a downgrade. And the BU team just uses the default gear on whatever soid they're using, making them even more useless since the Shield Liger's can't do more than 1 damage to the Death saurer or Ultrasaurus with their default guns and no support euipment to increase the gun's power. Rottiger is just as bad for the republic story mode but that mode seems easier, probably because the final battle in there is out in the open and not in a tight arena. Also, have we had this conversation before on another site? I could swear I've said this same thing like 5 years ago or more. Weird.

No, I've never met you before and I never had another account on a Zoids website, lol! But Ultra Z's not required. I said "Omega Plug Z," totally different. It's just the highest-output raw SPEED enhancer part available. I have never had an Ultra Z/been able to afford one. The Omega Plugs only increase speed, however, and not turning ability, and must be used in place of armor (obviously), so the resulting Molga is fast in straight lines, bad at turning, and a glass cannon. But it can be DONE.
I defeated Ultrasaurus no problem by sending my partner in to die while I just spammed the c-stick to evade the supercannons whilst firing the Canory unit from afar. Took it down in about 3 minutes, but got a grade "D" for an almost-dead partner and taking WAY too long (despite me having almost full health- got hit by a few missiles)!
Because of the increased number of allies in the Republican campaign, I feel that it is a bit easier than the Empire's, where being a lone wolf is more common. I'm actually listening to the Empire "farm" music on loop right now, haha!

I jsut bought them isntead fo zoids. 3 of those on a blade Liger AB/Zero X witha Gigglles for heavy firepower and you don't need a partner. THe Zero X is especialllyl lethal ion the NC-0 battle mode. But I ahve very few other zoids due to the cust of the Ultra Zs. ANd weird, thena gain i've had deja vu like this before. And yeah, they made the Empire campaign the harder difficullty, but even going solo in the Republlic story mode punishes you way too much.
