The idea behind this custom would be if the Active Shield and Flexible Booster were provided by the Blue Unicorn Team on a joint operation. The active shield green ALMOST matches the Helcat Noir green, so I threw in a Flexible Booster and swapped all the caps from the Helcat and weapons with the caps from the Genesis Command Wolf LC. What I got looks pretty stunning. And the tonfas really bring the whole piece together. Also note that Helcat's lower gun is missing a gun barrel! It broke off years ago without me ever noticing until recently! I even remember throwing out what was in all likelihood the broken part of the gun (I remember the shape because I had no idea what it was or why it was sitting next to my Zoids). So, I sanded down the damaged barrel as best I could. Maybe I will do more with it later. This poor guy has been my Zoid since 2009 and was my first Zoid since returning to the hobby from my childhood. He is falling apart but I figured I can make him look great while he lasts! Gallery here: imgur.com/a/nY679Think I am going to post some customs soon with a bit more effort put in...really in the mood!

Wow, that cat's got some gumption! I love the color scheme on it, too!

Thanks!
Any advice on how to mod that lower gun barrel into something...cool? I always admire your work, and am very jealous of your paint and design skills. Painting is definitely never going to be a talent of mine, but designing and modifying parts is always something I want to do more of.

It's okay, customs often have removed guns like that. It makes them look more unique. You just imagine that the pilot installed a more powerful gun that needed to be single-barrel for heat-dissipation or energy limitations or something.

Thanks, Leon... I'm still working to improve my painting skills, too (I always feel like they are lacking!) I agree with Snowflake; either kill the gun or heavily mod it. IF I decided to mod one, I would do this:
1) crop the tip to get rid of the bulb (like, cut the bulb in half so it still flares a bit at the end) 2) drill the barrel out 3) find/build an ammo drum of suitable size; probably about the size of two large rubber caps back to back 4) create an ammo belt out of cropped hard drive cable (a narrow strip of old HD cable creates an awesome small scale ammo belt!) 5) after attaching the drum to one side of the gun, maybe look for a little detail bit for the other side to look like a sighting system.

looks a bit over the top for me, and i prefer the "tonfas" to be used as cannons they certainly seem to be used that way on some zoids. I would also have jacked the weapon mount from the back of a barigator and mounted the boosters on the side of that. Or move your boster and shield assmbly to the back peg, your current config is too over balanced for me Maethius that actually sounds pretty cool, if i find any broke guns I'll ask you for advice to fix and improve them.

The green tonfas are the whole reason I got the idea. Helcat just looks so much better with a pair of blades at her feet. I used to have a set up where the boosters were on the backpeg, but I had no where to move Helcat's gun (I obbsess over wasting parts XD) Don't have a Barigator Would like to own a TS, but it isn't high on my priority list.

Maethius that actually sounds pretty cool, if i find any broke guns I'll ask you for advice to fix and improve them. Sure thing! I love to make things look just a little unconventional; you can make small changes to bits and pieces that help add distinction to a build. I saw a white Saber that looked fantastically different, somehow. The builder had essentially sanded all of the edges off the kit, which was otherwise almost entirely stock. For this reason I keep lots of very small bits that possess interesting details; you can always clip a little something or add a little something to make it different.

I wish i had pictures of the prototype, i might be able to remake the originall chest cannon from the prototype, the shock gun looks VERY last minute and don't match the rest of the kit very well. Leon35 i would have used the gun on another kit, myself. And the barigator ts just has an extra booster, i think it doubles as a missile launcher though, and woulld certainly alllow more weapaons to be mounted since there are mounting pegs on the booster, like how merda/hellrunner ts has a booster that allows mounting the missile pod and back beam gun, the barigator ts's booster unit has at least 2 side pegs, so you could possibly put the cp05 on it and have the missilels on it.

Can you explain what you mean by cutting the bulb in half? Sorry to necro. Just remembered I forgot to ask.

No prob! That gun ends with a "bulb" that looks like a pill. If you cut it in half it flares out a bit more like you see on some guns:

She's looking nice, too bad there's no real bades to put on her instead of the tonfas, dilo force's blades would work if the leg ones weren't hhinged so the length wasn't folded out, seriously, who designed how those blades swing out? If the hinge was at the end of the length and on a rotating cap or part it woud work much better, and you could put then on this beauty easier.
