I've got 130 hours into the KG custom right now; masking it for paint! Remember, it isn't the number of guns your KG carries, it's the caliber! True. Unless they are really big guns and lots of them. I run into a snag with my custom cannon, can't find the lego parts I need to finish it. I'm looking to pick up a few gundam markers for panel lining and such. But dang, tool kits and stuff are expensive... I don't even HAVE any tools yet.

I know I've mentioned it a lot, but thrift stores and dollar stores are the best friends of the budget customizer. If you have a Goodwill in your area they can be a resource for cheap toys and even model kits sometimes. One of the first tools I can recommend to open up the world to you is a good Dremel; get an AC one if you can! That and a saw, drill, and sanding drum bit will really give you some opportunities. With those tools and a screwdriver, a $2 beat up Nerf gun becomes a whole collection of armor, cannons, detail, and structural pieces.

I live with my parents and my dad has a dremel, but I dunno where it is. And I only get 200 of my SSI a month to spend,, if my parents don't borrow it back because they *Watch your language!* up their finances somewhere. I think It's pretty bad when the person who has to have a payee because the government thinks they couldn't handle a budget can manage their money better than the adults in the house who don't. I have an F15 kit I'd love to use to custom up a Pteramander though. Chop the cockpit parts off, maybe the wings or part of them mount the fuselage on the bck of the Pteramander and you got a pay of boosters and a place to mount missiles. If you cana use the wings somewhere, you can add hardpoints. It's a bigger kit thoug, not a 1/72. So most of it's missiles look too big for fighter sized zoids like the Redler and Storm Sworder, let alone the pteras or the tiny wings of the Raynos.

When you look at real missiles on an aircraft, most are between 6' and 10' long... well, compared to a Zoids pilot, that only about 1"! Still, we work with what we can find.

There are 1/72 aircraft kits, I've found a few, plastinc ones are harder to find but Hasegawa makes some AND weapons for them. So if you can get their kits you could use the pilons on Zoids to mount weapons, if you didn't mind permanently affixing the pylons, or you could create a custom mount using a sprue and make a hole in the sprue part for a a peg. There's a set of European weapons that includes Brimstone Missiles and very large standoff weapons, and one missile set from hasegawa includes Harpoon cruise missiles. There's some other cool weapons. Biggest problem is how to mount them.

You may have to make a decision between permanent mounts and pegs; sometimes you can use the fins of a missile by cutting a slot in the rail, but either way you are going to use some glue if you don't have pegs to use. Well, if you really wanted to, you could also create your own pegs out of sprue and be able to swap out your accessories.

Well, if you really wanted to, you could also create your own pegs out of sprue and be able to swap out your accessories. I was going to try that. I need to do that to fix my C-Wolf Irvine anyway. Though then I need to bore out the hole for the cannon so it will be mountable again. And I was going to mount some haardpoints. I was thinking of actually getting a few 1/72 aircraft kits...and then just not putting the hardpoints on them and glueing the hardpoint on some of the zoids. Then I can still swap out missiles on the hardpoints if I don't have to glue them. ALso it turns out the Sidewinder-X has an ATG function and both it anad the sparrow were used to make anti radar missiles. But there are alot a lot of impressive really big missiles like the harpoon and Storm Shadow stand off weapons that would look great on the Salamander. Or other ATG aerial zoids...IF WE HAD THEM.
