Given the size of the thing, I wouldn't be surprised if it isn't actually released for another year. They're still probably at least 3-6 months away from pre orders being open, let alone shipping it. But that is just conjecture, so don't take it as truth. Thanks, was hoping maybe some of the text in the image might have given an estimate, but on the other hand someone would have probably translated by then if so....let the waiting begin =)

Well, if I put $5 aside each paycheck for a year, it will take some of the pain out of ordering it... but not out of BUILDING it!

For me it's one of the most relaxing things there is....snipping parts off the sprue, removing the nubs, sanding, painting....not saying i'm good at it yet but i enjoy myself immensly =) The end result of having a cool finished model in the display cabinet is just a bonus =D

I think the problem with kits like Gojulas is, while I also find building kits relaxing (a wonderful distraction from the outside world) the Gojulas requires so much more than just an out of box build. It takes weeks to finish, and by that point, I would want the darn Zoid to be finished already.

Weeks? Is it that bad? I once built an MG Char's Zaku 2S in like 4 hours total.

While HMM's are comparable to MG's, the Gojulas is a monster of a kit.

Well, size alone...going by that it's the size of a Perfect Grade Gundam kit.

HMM Gojulas is almost 13 inches tall, over 20 inches long, and just under 8 inches across.
There's something like 56 sprues and around 1000 individual pieces for the regular version. Gojulas the Ogre will have additional pieces.

Gojulas the Ogre will have additional pieces. That zaku had like 10 sprues...maybe. And that's a lot of pieces. COudln't they have jsut incorporated some into the kit? With that many pieces it makes sense that some HMM would shed parts. ANd impressive size. makes me want it or the Ogre more.

Kotobukiya is sometimes notorious for overcomplicating the design and build of an HMM. Whether or not you like that sort of thing is fine, but it definitely contributes to the issues HMM Zoids have with staying together.
No idea how Gojulas fares when it comes to stability though.

In my experience HMMs are way more complicated than Gundam kits. That's part of the appeal for me. I got bored with MGs really fast, they're all nearly the same build. HGs are a snooze fest. The PGs were too expensive for my tastes and looked like the MGs just bigger. But I've built four Zeros and three Bladeys and I'm still not bored with either of those. (Bandai plastic is sturdier I'll give them that much.) I'd love to build a Gojulas but the price is more than my interest in the Zoid itself. Maybe I'd bite on a Deathsaurer, Stinger needs his buddy. Definitely bite on a Gil Vader but that's a lot less likely. Some small Zoids first please *coughhelcatcough* Love the guns on this big guy though. If that is sold as a separate CP I am so getting them. Don't know what for but I'd figure something out.

It takes weeks to finish, and by that point, I would want the darn Zoid to be finished already. That hasn't happened to me yet (although i have lost all interest in an A-10 Warthog i was building but that's because the kits fit is atrocious, sucking any fun out of building it) and while it might take a while to build, the end result will be finally owning a Gojulas =D Back when i was still thinking girls were gross, a toy store i visited pretty often (sales guy there let kids play with the Sega CD (which was brand new then, god i'm old...) if the manager wasn't around) and they had a Gojulas (Zoids Mighty Zoidzilla, as it was called here) on display. I had some Zoids and i really really wanted that monster but alas, when you're young you don't have the cash for that, and my parents thought it was too expensive.....fast forward to now and i have a steady income and a hobby room in my house; it WILL have a Gojulas in it damnit! =D Also an Ultrasaurus at some point but i'm going to wait a bit and see if they don't bring a HMM version of that....maybe next Wonderfest?

I believe when I counted Gojulas had 1100-1300 pieces, so yeah it can take a while. How fast you build it depends on how much detailing you do, how quick you build, how organized you are, and how much free time you have. I have ... little free time. So I've got a huge backlog of HMMs. Gojulas is an exception, though. Most large kits (Ligers, Saber Tigers, etc.) have 450-550 parts.

Well i just finished* my Gun Sniper LS in one weekend without painting, wanting to get a feel for building HMM first. Hopefully will be able to take it apart again without anything breaking, else no biggie (probably blasphemy to some here but i just bought it as a test model before working on HMM Dark Horn or Dibison). I try to clean nubs as best as possible with knife and sanding but AFAIK without painting you will always be able to see where they've been. No idea how many parts the Gun Sniper actually is though. *Full disclosure: Haven't actually done the Wild Weasel Unit yet so that might add another hour or two to the build i guess?
