Haha yeah, I remember the first time I looked for WF whateveryear on YJ (because often WF kits don't get tagged in the Zoids search) it was ... a bit of a shock. Yeah, the red thing is the Buster Head. It appeared in the Zoids Original comics. I remember being a little sad that, as strange at it is, none of the new Zoids actually got kit or merchandise releases. So it was interesting to see someone had made their own, and more interesting to know that it may have been sold~

Good to know all that now, funny i did ask the person behind the counter what it was. I made out the reply to be 'concept art', Or so i thought.

That is likely because it also appeared in the Concept Art Books~! All of that media more or less ties into each other.

Eh I'd be interested in the 18+ section but mostly for a certain genre. ANd they rarely have figures of the characters I like the most. WOuld still love to go to japan to a con there though.

Just posted my little zoids haul in the Acquisitions thread, Thought I might add a little extra from the trip for records and if anyone has questions. I got around to Constructing the Lidier a couple of Days ago, Poor things wind up motor doesn't work too well though. Lidier and Gairyuki I bought at the Mandarake in Tenjin, Tax free too because I was a foreigner. Lord Gale and the Sabre Tiger I bought at Wonderfest. The Saber tiger box I unpacked to fit in the baggage. Mugen Liger is from Kotobukiya in Akihabara. I unpacked Mugen right away and he travelled in my backpack everywhere. I already had so much on hand just after the first few days I used a storage/delivery service in Tokyo before venturing across the rest of the country. Anyway here is the Album of zoidy things from the trip to be explained below: The entire trip was very zoid and Godzilla centred I'll proudly admit, Here I'll list the zoidy locations I encountered and recommend if any other zoid fanatics finds themselves in Japan: Akihabara- Kotobukiya,The Kotobukiya stores have wonderful zoids displays, Zoids Shared a floor with Star wars. or was that ami ami... I am forgetting already. Speaking of, Ami Ami also had zoids and I believe it was there an advertisement for Shield liger in the Elevator. Of course there were the odd zoid here and there dotted amongst the thousands of gundam and half naked figurines. Shibuya- Mandarake ( as suggested by Hellbound crow) Thank you! 4 levels underground many zoids to be found in Glass cabinets, rarities and in some cases with a price tag to match. Ueno- Yamashiroya near the station still had zoids Osaka- Kotobukiya- A very lovely display with glass cabinets (the one with the Greenery on the bottom shelf) and what I can only assume is the voice actors signatures on cards in the back ground. Hakata, Fukuoka- There was a little store near the station in a place called "sun plaza" which sold a small number of zoids, (No photo because it was small and would have been awkward) Tenjin, Fukuoka- Mandarake , The most amazing place I saw, They had a Tonne of zoids! Some very hard to find ones too, And I think the prices were reasonable. I swear if luggage wasn't such a worry. Buy there and it's tax free for foreigners as mentioned earlier. Must bring your passport though. Sendai- Near the station there is a store called ボークス (Volks) It's the display with the big Zoids sign and lots of zoid cardboard cut outs on the wall. It was lovely to walk into a store and see an entire enclave just for zoids. Also Sendai. The Arcade Machine I have been wanting to find for over a decade. Thanks to Crisis the comic artist for informing me of it's whereabouts. It's a half hour train ride from Sendai centre and into the suburbs to Ayashi station, To which I then had to take a taxi for a few minutes to a place called "hillside shops". Top floor is a place called US land and there be the machine. Well worth the epic journey. It was fairly quiet in there on a weekday and the machine was free to use which confused me because then I wasn't sure If I was supposed to pay on entry or something?? Either way I walked in and out un-challenged, Mind you the suburbs of Sendai are not like Tokyo, Barely anyone speaks English and most signs are not translated to English so it was a challenge with my survivalist only level of Japanese. But Yea I took quite a few photos. It was good fun to use and I was there for about 3 hours trying all the zoids.. repeatedly. On my way back down South I called into the Mibu Toy Museum to see The Giant Molga. I was able to go inside and take photos, There were some interesting boards in there showing zoid evolutions in a way I can't recall having ever seen. Like riding the wild zoid when it's young, then piloting it from it's back and finally making the head the cockpit like wth?? If someone could shed some light on that I would be Grateful. Also inside the toy museum was that Zoids game in the glass shelf , LCD series with the Orudios on the front. As well as another display case of various old zoids and Godzilla much to my liking. And that was the Zoidy related stop on my trip. A few places to add to the archives for any possible future zoid tours of Japan.

So jealous... I'm amazed there's still an Infinity machine running and accessible to the public (it even looks to be the original Infinity rather than EX). Now if only someone could find a Card Colosseum machine... Those would be some of the panels from the Big Zoids Expo, which were a heavily abridged version of the Zoids Bible. That particular one is showing the evolution of weaponry and controls over the decades.

Oh I see so some of the panels followed the Molga,(assuming Molga was at the Zoids expo) I wonder where the rest of them are. I hadn't viewed too heavily into the Zoids Bible so that whole evolutionary concept came as a bit of a surpsise, Seeing the pictures at first I was thinking ok .. since when. Interesting to know, I Figured you'd know something Falcarius thanks!

So you did make it to Shibuya! That Mandarake's dungeon entrance sure is a kick. Did you get to see Hachiko at the station?
Now that you have one Gairyuuki, be careful about picking up Dispelow and Evo Flyer. You might end up with 5 more

You might end up with 5 more I know, Those stairs!, There was a sign mid way down (the stairs of Mandarake) which I think said something roughly on the lines of elevators are for *Watch your language!* with some cartoon character flexing muscles..Very motivating, Then I realized they do have an elevator but access to is via the foyer of the main building. SO that's where Hachiko is!!? It did cross my mind to look up the location but I forgot, Regretting now! Didn't know it was Shibuya. I wont worry about the need to obtain 5 more Gairyuki's. One was hard enough to find I think.
