New art WIP
I want to add this feature: the bottle brush tail! when ferrets get excited they foof their tail they also have an odd way of running too..it might effect the way weapons are placed, i'd love some input

That is lovely, truly unique. The zoids look has a certain living element to it I feel, like a hybrid.
Does that chimney looking thing on it's head serve a purpose?

I'm really fond of that design, especially the unique part of the mane and shoulder armor~ A hard thing with Zoids is often finding new armor shapes, even if it's a custom of an existing Zoid. Something I still struggle a lot with.
For critique, I think darker shading would go a long way. Try not to be nervous about losing detail, what you gain in white/black values will add a lot of dynamic. A good exersize is to make the image grayscale on the computer to see how well your shading is standing out.
I would recommend that for the red and black/gray, though. I actually really like the browns as they are, the varied tones look excellent.
The only other crit I'd have is to remember to keep things level, but this isn't a problem for 99% of the Zoid. Just a couple parts of the face. The mane and canopy are smaller on one side. They should extend to the same 'height' as the others, even if they're not as wide because of the head turn.
All in all it seems like you already have quite a bit of experience working with Zoids~ It's a great design and it's obvious that a lot of attention was paid to keeping everything proportional and level.

And umm, the chimney bit doesn't really serve a purpose I think other than maybe as a vent.. Haha! I actually didn't think about what it was until after I drew it

I was trying to shade darker but the paper wouldn't soak up anymore ink! I also was trying to keep things level but my sketch was so heavy that as I inked it I realized something was off! I will take your advice though for future drawings, thank you! this is actually my first zoids full drawing (sketch, ink, color and extra) I had to use my Blade Liger and Liger Zero as models for the lighting and pose during most of the sketch

Crazy story time.
Last night I had a dream that I went to a con and they had the Souga so I bought it for you. This isn't entirely out of the realm of reality because the last con I went to did have some rare/limited Zoids floating around. In the dream I was gonna sell it to you for more than I bought it for, lol. Anyways I took the sprues out of the box to make sure it was complete, and the kit was actually the liger in this drawing, just in the Souga's white and blue color scheme.
Trippy, huh? That would look cool though...

I think a Zoids Ferret would be a great kit! Like a super agile cross between a Liger and Snake. Hmmmmmm......

Hmmmmmm...... well most ferret owners refer to them as cat-snakes, haha! they also hop around too, and when they bite down on things they execute a gator death roll I'd try to mount the weapons to take advantage of that tendency of real life ferrets. SO I'd mount the weapons in pop up turrets along the lwoer middle abck where it arches as the run,a nd alongside the head and in the mouth. So you can shoot beams/lasers into your enemy as the zoid rolls. Also be worth noting that it could probably bring down a larger zoid by doing that. And a brisstle tail would make an interesting defensive weapon. or mount tons of little lasers in the bristles...
I also love that furry/anthro pilot of the liger.

Maybe a ferret zoid could also attack with a saw-like weapon around the middle when he s rotating? Shooting Weapons should be at front and back to not give less agility.
Greetings Cougan

Greetings Cougan maybe give tirastle tiger beam array for a bristle tail. But also I'd armor the turrets for if it rolls during attacking, in comformal storage configuration with retractable weapon barrels.

Looking at the ferret a bit more, I have a few observations:
1) weapon placement- the most stable point on the animal at a dead run is the hips, which are also broad enough that weapon mounts there would clear the shoulders.
2) the body style and agility of the animal make for a stealth-based platform more than an attack platform. It could be used as an interceptor, but that role is usually given to air/fast power hitters, and this would be a sneaky infiltrator. I don't see the ferret going up against Ligers and T-Rexes with much chance of success... well, unless it has some integrated super weapons (which I would put on a more survivable platform) If anything, I would load this baby up with recon/electronic warfare equipment and a sniper rifle.

Would make a great, easier to hide version of the Dark spiner. 4) could even burrow the zoid down into the dirt to hide it better. Would be great to use the hips/back to mount variable weapons, including guidance systems for hypervelocity missiles and cruise missiles fired from long range. Even a pteras can take out a genobreaker with the right weapon, in theory. 5) To be safe i'd convert ray absorbing verniers to help increase it's defense and combine that with optic camoflage and even a holographic system.

OMG these ideas are brilliant, thank you for putting so much thought into them! sadly my computer decided to delete all of my artwork (not the colored pic, it was drawn on paper so it's safe) but all my sketches are gone. so back to the drawing board
