Since this is riding on the coat-tails of the Iron Kong PK, I'd wager a few doughnuts that the next huge kit announcement is the OGRE.

I just hope it is huge and long, so I can get if for some of my Tomy/TakaraTomy Gojulas.

Then again, if they have the molds, they might as well stick it all in one box and sell it as a GTO. Methinks Zoiddom would go berserk.

Wait a minute... is there a clip in this thing? Can a zoid even reload a clip with it's... claws? Well actually that is a magazine. Clips are something else entirely that I am sure would be even more difficult for a zoid to handle. This isn't the only weapon I have seen on zoids that feature magazines either. The cannonery Molga's cannon has one too. I have seen some drum magazines on some of the gattling gun weapons too. I don't recall ever seeing a zoid reload though in any of the shows or games. I think the Zoids themselves probably don't reload at all. They most likely carry a finite amount of ammo and use the magazines more so that they can return to their transport for a quick reload if needed. Most of the time the magazine is in a place the zoid could never realistically reach even if it wanted to.

It certainly would allow for interesting gear-up sequences in a game for example at a hangar loading up ammo. I should do this once... maybe at a later time

As I understand it, a magazine CONTAINS a clip. so it's sort of like referring to bullets as shells. synecdoche

Actually a magazine IS a clip... just one made to mechanically load a bullet instead of all at once. In game-dev you find both names depending on who you ask

Technically, magazine = ammunition exits the stationary container as it feeds into the action, clip = ammunition holding mechanism travels through the action (and is usually ejected out the other side). The side of that ammo box looks, to me, like a coffin box magazine that would zig-zag some 20 rounds rather than the apparent 5.

When will the preorders be up?

As far as I'm aware only the Mugen Liger had an expected pre-order date, and that was sometime this month. The other items haven't been given a date, I don't think.

They are more or less just a metal clip that holds the cartridges in such a way as to allow you to slide them off of the clip into a magazine fairly quickly. Presumably as a cheaper option to buying additional magazines or a lighter way to carry them.

I just noticed a detail on the picture of the cannon schematic... looking at the quad-gun/shield. Does it look to anyone else like the there are 4 guns facing forward and 4 different gun barrels facing rear?

They look more like boosters or rocket engines to me, which is entirely in keeping with the Tomny version. Anyway, do we have a pre-order date for these guns yet?

Kotobukiya has posted an article with more pics of this CP as well as the Ogre, and it looks really impressive with the size comparisons. Like, holy crap the arm guns on that little Command Wolf, lol. I can also appreciate them showing the vanilla kit. Nice to get a good look at it before hand.
