Mugen is my favorite of the Murasames. Actually, it is very hard to say it's not my favorite of -all- ligers so I am really excited about this! Stayed up waiting for WF to open just to see if we'd really get to see this shiny beast. Thanks for the info about the preorders! Will be jumping on this the second they open.

I wasn't expecting much from the Mugen Liger, but the design has really grown on me. It's going to be hard to pick between the Hayate and Mugen....ARRHHHH!

I seriously love these ZA zoids, and will be getting Mugen without question. I've found myself probably photo spamming Murasame Liger too much lately because it is so photogenic, quick pose without falling apart these things are more than just shelf sitters. They are more like active desk companions.

Ehh, that is Kotobukiya for you. They do it to almost all their Zoids. However, the final may look different. That image is digitally colored. They just took a picture of the prototype and set it to multiply, and colored on the layer underneath with a single flatcolor. It is completely devoid of light layers.

I mean, the Mugen's body IS a dark blue. the actual pictures of the figure seem to have the actual coloring, which is a lot darker than the picture in the scan. seems accurate to me.

Shade is verrrry important in how a color scheme represents. I would say you're right though, even if the WF one were custom painted (Hard for me to tell) I imagine they'd still be using the same general color mixing as the machines. The odds are definitely in favor of the darker colors. Either way, a digital color scan probably isn't the best source. Just on the basis that (aside from a different color) it can't accurately represent the shadows and light. At least not if you're doing just a flat layer.

Ohh, now that you mention it, even the claws are gold instead. But still here's hoping Koto doesn't pull something funny. I was planning to order 4...lets wait for more photos...

Already got mine preordered, and really can't wait! As usual the Koto Direct comes with stickers, while the other shops don't. Either way it looks fantastic and I really can't wait to see how they handled the painted details in person.
