Why do the Japanese versions of the Anime shows get to be on Blu-ray while the English dubs don't?

I believe it's because it hasn't been in the USA in over a decade

Maybe you should Email the company and suggest that they put the English audio as an option on future Asian reproductions of the series so people can import them if they want. That is what I did, but my Email probably won't convince them on it's own.

I went into more detail in the other thread but the tl;dr is that there's no reason to. There is no supporting media at all in the US. No products are being released here, it would be an unnecessary expense that, while nice for us overseas buyers, we just aren't their target audience. From a business stand point, it is not worth the trouble.

THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT US! *sob*
Seriously, though, I'd wager what Hanyoutai said. I think that's been the case for a good long time, sadly. :<

Sorta related, but I really hope that a couple of the DVDs that just popped up on US Ebay last night don't get too high. I've already been outbid on The Coliseum Battle and The High Speed Battle and they haven't even been up for 12 hours.

I was just thinking that since they already have an English dub it isn't like they would have to do any recording or anything terribly expensive and I know of other products in Asia that have English audio as an option like the new Dead or Alive Extreme Beach Volleyball game.
