Sniptera has arrived! (my older Zoids need some serious TLC...) I tried to pose it bipedal-y the best I could for comparison's sake though it's kinda not meant for that. It's around the same size as (Tomy, IDK about Koto) Storm Sworder, maybe a bit bigger.
Also a good deal bigger than Gravity Ptera.
Easily my favorite Pteranodon Zoid. All it needs is a bit of paint to bring out all those details (whenever I get around to it @_@).

It's a Raptor plushie I made a little while ago. Unlike the modelkit version, the arms can move.

I've been neglecting this forum pretty badly this year, but my latest haul is too good not to post... Buyee recently ran a campaign where if you bought an item from Mercari through them within a certain timeframe, then shipped it out within another timeframe, the international shipping would be free. It only applied to one package per account, but it didn't have any upper limit - and it explicitly applied to everything you consolidated with the Mercari package too. So I may have gone a little overboard... That's 24 packages consolidated into one, breaking my previous record of 16 (and that was back when Buyee had 90 days free storage instead of 30). It would have been 25, but Buyee had to leave out the biggest one (a big collection of Higurashi manga) because the maximum weight for EMS shipping to Australia is 20kg and this would've been 23 (without that box of manga, it was "only" 16.8kg). According to Buyee's estimates, shipping those 24 packages individually (via EMS to Australia) would have cost a total of 62400 yen, but consolidating dropped that to 22200 (or 23200 if you count the consolidation fee). It turns out Buyee applies Australia's 10% GST to shipping costs as well as the original item prices, though, so the actual cost of international shipping (not counting any of the other fees) would've been 24420 yen (about AU$320) - but sure enough, I didn't have to pay any of it! Domestic shipping and other fees still cost me about 13000 yen, and I'll still have to pay international shipping on the big manga box (which will be painful), but it was totally worth it. Anyway, here's what was inside: Top row: the CC manga reprints, Hobby Japan Nov 2019 (including an interview with NJR team leader Tajima Yutaka and some useful info about when HJ Zoid articles started), two of the four pre-2006 Dengeki Hobby issues I was missing, and the last two arcs of the Higurashi manga plus a bonus book (these plus the box that's still at Buyee's warehouse cover all but one of the main-series Higurashi volumes). Middle row: 11 volumes of Great Mechanics DX (mostly HMM fluff, but 10 and 11 have a recap of the Battle Story), Model Graphix Oct 2016 (includes a short comic with Zoiko, possibly her only print appearance), and two toy/hobby encyclopedias with a few pages on Zoids. Bottom row: a keychain for my sister, three volumes of CoroCoro Zoukangou (between these and a couple of Monthly CoroCoro issues that didn't make it to Buyee in time to consolidate them, I now have all of Ochi Yoshihiko's Zoids manga), a couple of NJR/Neo Blox pamphlets (including the last NJR Graphics volume I was still missing), an ENEOS promo DVD plus bonus cards, the last volume of the Wild manga, and the three Wild OP/ED singles I didn't have yet. Meanwhile, a week earlier, I got a little box from Jauce. It only contained a single pamphlet, one that cost me nearly as much as all the above stuff combined. But it was worth it, because that pamphlet was OJR Graphics volume 13, and nabbing it means I've finally completed one of my biggest Zoiding grails: a full set of the OJR Zoids Graphics series! (The one on the far right is an oddity that Hanyoutai spotted: a Chinese (Taiwanese?) pamphlet called "Zoids Planetary Showdown volume 1", which as far as I can tell is a direct translation of Graphics 18 with a couple of tweaks.) And now that the big haul has arrived, I can show off a complete set of all the non-OJR Graphics too! Namely the NJR "Zoids Graphics", the Neo-Blox "Zoids Graphix", and the booklets from the "Monthly Zoids Graphics" line: But there's still one info booklet that I've never been able to track down, one that I wasn't even sure was real for a while. It's not a Zoids booklet as such - it's the 7th and final volume of the Z-Knight Data Book series, as seen here. Needless to say, if any of you ever spot one for sale, please let me know!

Makes me glad to see Falcarius finding more Zoids literature and Lionel finding more OER-related stuff, very fitting hauls. Nice hunting!

I have the translation already, made by someone from Zoidfans : Right : HELLO - - - - dear winners yes, you read that right, you were along the lucky winners in our draw. We're very happy to be able to send you the promised **ZOID** today, have fun and enjoy building and playing. As you know, there are many other small ones in the realm of **ZOIDS** and of course also the "big ones". You can buy them everywhere now. So, again – congratulations, have fun and Yours sincerely your TOMY TOYS, Ltd. Left : DEAR CHILDREN***DEAR CHILDREN***DEAR CHILDREN***DEAR CHILDREN Unfortunately it's taking the post a little longer to get from Zoidstar to earth. But now the new Zoids have "landed" and they're bringing with them lots of information for you. They tell of the turmoil of battle, victories and defeats, of the defense of their home planet and the constant assaults of new monster machines. They tell of big cats, flying dragons and giant dinosaurs, who face one another stomping, swimming or crawling. They describe the vehicles and transporters rolling across Zoidstar. They've experienced much and want to reenact all the exciting adventures with you. Join in! Surely you remember: You build all Zoids yourself and they're fully mobile. They have a wind-up engine or they're battery powered. Zoids are fun, and the world of Zoids is fantastic! Kind regards your Tomy Toys Ltd.
