The silicone oil is mostly to prevent it drying out and cracking but if you glue it back together adding some oil after it has dried my help prevent future cracking. The yellowing of some plastics is just a chemical reation of it's own over age, there is nothing you can do but paint it when that happens, might have happened on yours as the engineers designing and choosing the materials for cost, suitability etc.. would have thought it would be covered by the chrome plating that failed. So the Ghost version is not actually a product then? Just a chromeless Z2 version?

I'll try that silicone oil soon yup, those yellowing was chemical reaction (and could be revert back using hydrogen peroxide), but someone here was saying that those chemical reaction (yellowing) was triggered by a lot of sun/light exposure.. but I think it's really just because the material used. thanks I admit that ghost zoids made from de-chroming Z2 is a fake .. but I think Ghost version do really exist You can ask Lionel here about these long story of Ghost zoids, or visit his site ecpecially at Ghost zoids pages which truly interesting to be read and expand your understanding about zoids kit world

Digging the red cockpits on that Guysac... could be really cool to see it painted up as an old Zenebas unit. ^_^

That "preweathering" looks a lot like caked-up dust...
Nevertheless, each and every arthropod is to be celebrated. Congrats on your 2 new scorpions!

The ones that attack Van and his Shield Liger? Those are the only Guysacks I remember although I still haven't watched Genesis as subtitles and building models don't go together! LOL. Any news on a dubbed version? Cheers!

Nah the zenevas empire never shows up in the anime, the era of the backstory that the anime loosely adapts is after the first zenevas empire and before the second
but yeah it's interesting how a lot of newer republic zoids have red cockpits. someday I'd love to hear some kind of in-universe explanation for the different colors, like they're different materials with strengths and weaknesses. So far all we have is that the smoky gray cockpits of old-guylos were to shield their sensitive eyes from sunlight

As for red canopies, maybe they like tripping out? Ever worn a pair of red tinted glasses with a hangover? Really freaky, makes everything sudoreal.

The Guysacks that attacked Van showed up many times throughout the show (not the exact ones, obviously) as "sleeper units" that remain in stasis until enemies approach, acting as a kind of booby trap with "whitebox" A.I. computers piloting them. Various conflicts have the Guysacks, and later Godoses crowding the areas to die.
Outside of CC/GF, Guysacks appeared a total of twice in New Century Zero, once in the exhibition match against Bit and two of them blowing up during a brief montage of the Tigers team's wins using Laon's weather machine.
As of yet, there remains no news on a dub of Genesis. The only arthropod Zoids to appear there were the Baratz and the generic, military green Canory Molgas as part of the Ze Ruft Defense Force (starting in Episode 12, not sure how far you got), and later as screen-filler for the united army near the end (keeping names generic in case of spoilers). Unless you count Guysting (a Baratz and thus not a "true" Zoid), there are no scorpion-type Zoids in Genesis.

Finally aquired Dimetrodon! Been after that one for some time! All came with boxes and instructions. Poor Maccurtis though, broke a leg posing and wrong antenna I think. Saberlion is adorably small.

Good ol' Dimetrodon. Another zoid I got because it was cheap and I wanted a zoid

Always loved Dimetrodon! Like the sail much better than Dark Spiner's. That red looks pearlescent, like the color of the red Energy Liger... is it?
