Hi all, I really need some help with my new Tomy Shield Liger. I can't get past step 3 of assembly. The grey body pieces simply don't fit over the motor. I have tried removing all other pieces and just trying to get the two grey body pieces over the motor and they won't go anywhere near far enough in to meet, I think the inner leg-parts of the motor are too thick. I checked that all pieces were the correct direction, and compared the motor to the manual and it looks like I am holding the correct motor unless the Blade Liger has an identical but slightly larger motor and I've ended up with one of them instead? Edit: I can confirm that was I indeed attempting to fit Shield Liger parts around a Blade Liger motor. On the bright side, I now have a spare Blade Liger motor. I found what I think is a Shield Liger motor in my second hand stuff but it's very dusty and has battery corrosion. It looks like the Bladey motor only smaller and it's partially transparent. I'll have to find something to clean it with, I normally use dishwashing liquid but I think I'll need something special to get rid of the acidy stuff. It seems a shame to use a second hand motor in a brand new Shieldy but I don't see any other motors lying around, unless the Zaber Fang and Shield Liger share a motor. -------------- Thank you everyone for the help! I have my motors sorted out now. Thank you also for offering to help me sort out these parts. This is a super big task but if you identify anything please let me know! Some of them are really frustrating because they look familiar to me but I can't put my finger on what they belong to. Others I simply don't have a clue. Here are the photos: Dark Horn - are there any major parts missing or can I try to assemble? Also, where does the black & green piece beside his head fit? Gojulas - are there any major parts missing or can I try to assemble? Is he any particular type of Gojulas? He's my only non-Giggles. Weaponry- any idea who these belong to? Misc Parts - full pictureMisc Parts - left side close up - I think some of the bottom pieces aren't from Zoids. The black piece 2 spots above the yellow gun is very heavy, is it part of Gojulas or not a Zoid? Misc Parts - top close upMisc Parts - right side close up----------- UPDATE: I was packing away my Zoids as I'm going away for a bit soon, and I noticed that a bag of sprues I had dismissed as Liger Zero X parts actually had quite a few pieces that don't appear to belong. Can anyone help identify these? Sprues 1 - The left 4 look like Gojulas Giga but I'm unsure about the others. Sprues 2 - Some of these have me stumped... is the top left one from Dark Horn's gatling? Sprues 3 - Just to confirm, these are all Liger Zero X, right?

Some photos should be help, but I think this is the first time I hear that the Shield Liger's motor can't fit in to it's body....
Motor turn backward or upside down? .... I don't think so...

Yeah, turns out it was a Blade Liger motor I am wondering if the person I bought it from used the Shieldy motor in a Zaber Fang? I got 4 built Fangs from them amongst other things, and their motors look pretty similar to the corroded motor I am looking at for trying in the Shieldy body. I think that's the last time I buy a bulk Zoids lot from someone that doesn't have each Zoid in separate ziplock bags. This batch was just a jumble of parts, and while I recognised many of them I still have a few bags of 'idk what this belongs to' as well as some non-Zoid parts but I'm sure they'll be useful if I make some customs. Unfortunately I can't start working on customs until I sort out the complete models and try to find all their parts, lest I accidentally use a piece that I need for another model. I did not realise how much of a srs bsns job that would be, hence starting on the new Shield Liger today. Unfortuantely that was not as easy as predicted! I am really hopeful that this corroded motor I found is a Shieldy motor though, it looks just like a smaller Bladey motor which is exactly what I was looking for.

If you want...post the "I don't know" parts in a pic of sorts. We might be able to help you :-) Edit: yes the saber motor is the same. If I am wrong....someone correct me. Lol

You sure that is Blade Liger's motor? I always mix up Shield Liger and Blade Liger parts to repair some junk ligers, so far I don't have problem yet.... (Shield Liger and Blade Liger's body should be the same)
On the other hand, is that possible that motor is belong to Liger Zero? That is another similar looking motor but different than Shield and Blade Liger's motor. (I remember 1 time I try to use a Saber's motor in a Liger Zero's body, and it won't fit until I trim some pieces off the Liger Zero's body)
And yes, try to post out the parts and we will help to sort out the parts.
PS. Yes, Saber's motor is same as Shield Liger's motor, so go ahead and use a Saber's motor to fix a Shield Liger.

Yeah I'm pretty certain saber, shield liger, and blade liger all use the same motor. That was the point, they were designed that way to save money. But fortunately spare motors are super easy to get, I have a spare one of those motors sitting around just in case because i got it from gundamstoreandmore while they still had replacement zoid parts.

Blade Liger one is different than Saber and Shield Liger one, they look very close, but Saber and Shield Liger(NJR)use 1 AA Battery, when Blade Liger is using 2 AAA Batteries.

Thanks everyone for the help! I've edited the first post with pictures of the misc Zoid parts. There's a heck of a lot of them, but I was hoping to identify some of the major pieces.

OK, the truth is, none of the Zoids are complete, Gojulas and Dark Horn are the 2 that are "close to complete", but still have many parts missing. (most of them are their small weapons) Gojulas = blue circled parts Dark Horn = Green circled parts Pic1Pic2Pic3Pic4Other than Gojulas and Dark Horn, there has parts for Liger Zero X, Blade Liger, Shield Liger, Berserk Fuhrer, Dibison, Command Wolf, elephander, Shadow Fox and many others. (but many of them only has a few parts) For Weapons, the lower left hand corner black gun belongs to Dark Horn, and the rest, most of them are from Shield Liger and Blade Liger. Also, in "Gojulas" and "Dark Horn" pictures, there has some parts not belongs to them, I circled them in red- GojulasDark HornI will suggest try to spread the parts more, take more photos and use them for a trade, hope you will trade some parts you need to complete other Zoids. (or even try a whole Zoids)

The following pics are for Command Wolf(pink) and Elephander(orange). (However, some of the parts are overlaps each other or way too close, so I just circle the parts I'm sure) pic1pic2pic3pic4The following pic are the Weapons, green is still Dark Horn, and Light Blue is for ligers Weapsons

Thank you SO much for going through all those pieces, I will print them out and sort them, hopefully I can get some complete Zoids put together. I would love to spread them out more but unfortunately I ran out of room when taking the photo - that's my entire workspace, the rest of the table is full of partially built Zoids, bags of Zoid parts I already tried sorting and fully built ones waiting for cleaning (the problem with buying second hand Zoids - some are super dusty). For the Dark Horn I don't see a Gatling Gun anywhere. Maybe I should try to make one, I have a box of random junk I collected for customising Zoids so maybe that could be my first project

I found some mystery sprues! I'm unsure what some of them are though, so I took some pics before packing them up.

UPDATE: I was packing away my Zoids as I'm going away for a bit soon, and I noticed that a bag of sprues I had dismissed as Liger Zero X parts actually had quite a few pieces that don't appear to belong. The first pic is all Gojulas Giga and the last pic is all Liger Zero X / Imperial. Pic 2 has pieces from both, but also a couple that I don't recognise (to be precise, the top left, bottom left, and tiny white frames). These pdfs should help: Giga manualZero X manual

Thanks for the manuals Falcarius c:
Wow, part of a CP? I wonder if I have other pieces. Maybe I can use it to make a nice gun for Dark Horn. Holotech Gojulas? Wow. I wonder if I can use them with the other Gojulas pieces to try and put together part of his model. Thanks again Omega, much appreciated!
