The title says "preceding reservation privilege laser saber (chrome plated Ver) -(google translation)," which appears to be some kind of bonus for pre-ordering it from Amazon. Any idea what that is? Laser Saber = Shieldy's teeth Falcarius mentioned. Sadly not a sword as 'Saber' would suggest. Those are toy shows that it'll be displayed at (Shizuoka and Tokyo Big Sight), but there's still a decent chance we'll get new info then. Masterpiece Liger specifically or just Zoids? There's Koto's lines (I think those are more likely for Wonderfest in July though) and the Material Hunter game that could fall under general Zoid announcements too.

I promise I'm not overlooking your info intentionally, Falcarius... XP

I would expect it to be the Masterpiece Shield Liger specifically if the information comes from Tomy. If I remember right, Koto doesn't normally have much of a prescence at Shizuoka, though no doubt they'll be finding places to show off the Murasame now.

MP Shield Liger also available from TFSource now if you prefer that retailer. Odd that it's not on ToySource instead, since TFSource is specifically Transformers stuff...

I can't decide if I want it. It's certainly cool.

An interview about the design and development for the Masterpiece Shield Liger has been uploaded on the TakaraTomy channel. While it has no English translation you can get a google-translate version that's kinda-sorta understandable. Click the CC button and then the gear button to change the CC translation to English. At the very least it includes some cool CGI renders and a look at the prototype. It's very fascinating to see a look at the kits development and an NJR Shield Liger gives an impression of size difference (though note the Masterpiece is on a stand.) Indeed, the old motorized is a little smaller.

Why does knowing the engineering shown in that video make me want it so much more...

Well, it certainly does look quite a bit larger than the original. I think seeing how the mechanics came together is innately something that attracts most Zoid collectors; we tend to love the engineering side. That's one reason I actually favor the classic kits more than the HMM series in many cases.

Not necessarily news but a better look at the stand that comes with this liger. I understand there are no robotics in the feet. It is just a loose hinge-joint system with armor ridges/whatnot keeping the center toes from falling as far as the outer toes. This looks awesome on a flat surface but I'll be a little sad to see the 'life like movement' go when he's on the stand. He'll look a little more like he's just swimming!

Sounds good to me! We get the option. You can make your liger walk realistically on an actual surface, or swim when suspended in the air!

I have pre-ordered this zoid, since I really liked the video of it's movement. My only question is it going make all that noises or it special effects for the commercial?

Based on the movements in the mechanics and the lighting effect I would say that it does, in speculation, make the sounds we heard. I'm basing this off of the fact that it sounded like it was coming from a small internal speaker and not something they added in later.

Actually, if I'm not mistaken I think that the spot I circled below may be the speaker.

It was listed as having noise effects. The sounds definitely come from the liger.
