Nice to know the plastic is good quality... I always wonder when a new kit comes out. Oh, and these are the "guns" I was referring to:

Hm. Got mine together. Is anyone else having issues with the roar animation? The mane on mine gets caught on various bits depending on how his walk cycle pauses... I'm worried about long-term safety of the gears for the neck.

Yeah I've had something similar happen with the mane on mine. It seems fine with all the flappy bits of mane floofed out though. Otherwise the engineering is pretty darn solid. They really got the more realistic natural movement down. The spring loaded feet are an interesting feature too.

even with all the mane bits flared out, the back corners of the head still catch on the panel that covers the gun on mine... I'm considering spending some time on developing some parts to lengthen the neck half a cm or so to see if that helps any.

Yep, same experience with mine. I also found having the side mane tuffed out stops it from hitting the leg, but yea that back of the head part sometimes still hits. Here is my experience anyway, There's a Successful fully armoured roar at 57 seconds and a horrific gets stuck roar at 2 mins. Most of the time the head is able to rotate around but it has a couple of rough clicks whilst doing so. Funny I really like the look of the Grey terminator cat, I was sort of thinking what a shame when placing on the blue armour.

Oh wow, thanks for the video. That's exactly the problem on my end, too. Also that clicking during the breathing concerned me before I found out what it was. gonna try making a prototype extra part out of some old lego, see if I can make something work edit: This raises the head on the neck a little AND makes it a little further out. The roar animation runs without error. As things are the clips are too loose to hold the head up, so it does droop, and the extended neck means the jaw will always hang open... but these are things I can further develop if I move on with this idea.

There is apparently something about this in the instructions?? I can't quite tell what it's saying. Mine arrived yesterday but haven't had a chance to build. Determined to get it done this week, though! Sounds like everyone already tried moving these pieces but might still be worth a look.

Okay, the instructions warn you to open the side panels and close the top/bottom panels before switching it on. Hopefully this works!

Ahh thanks, That is good to know for sure, I did see the diagram and thought it was just saying that they can be opened etc, Ended up figuring it out the long way. It does work smoothly now.

the idea that it's just not safe to let the zoid run when all the mane components are closed happened to make it to the finished product seems poorly thought out... but this is my only complaint about the kit, I guess, and it's a liger-exclusive issue...
Kinda want to get the Saber Tiger too.

Put batteries in mine today (haven't put the armor on yet). When it hits the "breathing" portion of the cycle it makes an awful clicking noise and only the tail and chest piece move. Isn't more supposed to move? Thinking I assembled something wrong...

It clicks for a while while the chest and tail move as it "breathes" After that it starts walking. It takes a little while to charge up so to say. How long did you let yours run for?
