Im still not sure why the Saber Tiger has clear pieces now...is there a purpose for them?
Also, what is this limited edition Shield Liger I keep seeing from amazon japan?

The "Limited" comes with silver plated claws and teeth, I believe? Aside from the tiger-stripe gimmick they wanted with the clear parts, it may also show the core lights better, which can be seen here. On Shield Liger they are hidden at almost all angles. Maybe Saber will let them shine through a bit clearer?

I can see myself repainting the Saber almost entirely; the red doesn't do it for me, and I don't like the clear parts at all. I'm also wondering how long it will be until a customizer combines it with the Kotobukiya kit to create the first Masterpiece Great Sabre custom. What do you think? 1 hour or 2?

What color would you paint it?

A bit of a deeper, more saturated red. Maybe it is the work of the cameras, but the pics I've seen of the Saber so far appear to be too washed out to me. Either go bold or go full military!

What's so bad on the orange sabre color scheme? I find it subtle and not so exaggerated. That said I most like the red-black color scheme since it breaks the uniform color distribution.

The bland brick color makes the clear parts look like ... jelly? Which is sad because I love clear Zoids. Even if it makes the core light look good, it'll look unsightly 99.9% of the time (when displayed in normal lighting.) I think they'd look better in black. Maybe even with the brown parts also changed to black? Or red. It kind of blends together with the secondary color option being just a few shades off color.

That clear part looks silly. I never liked clear parts since sorry to say but this is "armor". You don't make armor our of glass or plastic. Dark red would be a nice color to break the uniformity or even black but not clear.

I think it would be ok if the whole Zoid was "holotech" or at least a significant portion.
I was really looking forward to the Zaber Fang, but I might skip it. Hopefully, the Masterpiece line comes out with a Zoid I can really get behind.

Neat, they're showing a 1:1-scale Oculus Rift display of the Shieldy at Wonderfest!

I can't wait to see this in action. I wonder though, will they have someone to stand by the display and constantly move Shieldy back to his starting point? Or will he stay in the one spot?
They also added a CG video in a response to the post!

There is another Twitter post with art of the MPZ Shield Liger. I have to say, I have greatly enjoyed seeing so much development content with this line. I wish we saw more of it for Saber, but time will tell. So much enthusiasm for concepts!
