Oh man, I hadn't even heard of those. Which suggests that the ones from that giveaway (10 of each, given to selected readers of Terebi-kun in 1989) are the only ones in existence. No wonder they're expensive... "Terebi-Kun" being a different magazine from Shogakukan then? Explains why Zi-Matrices had the weird generic listing for those two.

Re: Rex thing, I don't know if the figure itself was fan made or not but it looks almost exactly like the prototype artwork done for Bio Tyranno (which I can't find atm, curses.) Hanyoutai, a little late but was the Bio Tyranno art from one of these pages? Link 1 Link 2I suspect he means this, which isn't Bio Tyranno concept art - it is, in fact, Hajime Sorayama's design sketch for that Rex prototype. Shogakukan isn't a magazine, it's a major publishing company which owns Viz Media, ShoPro, CoroCoro Comic (and its various spinoffs), Terebi-kun Televi-Kun and the School Grade Magazine, among others - so basically, the majority of Zoids media (all the anime series, all the manga except SS, and a good chunk of the Battle Story). I'm guessing what you're thinking of as "Shogakukan" is actually the School Grade Magazine. (P.S. Would it be okay for me to use your Official Fan Book EX scans on my website?)

Falcarius is correct! My recollection of that sketch was that it had been presented in the thread you linked, Greengairyuki, so I was confused when it was not there. I guess I was mistaken on what it was, but that magazine scan is definitely the sketch I was remembering.

Falcarius, sent you a pm for the EX's (hopefully my funky connection's not messing with the link)And yes, I was thinking of the School-Grade magazine.

I wasn't knowing those two chromes. But I know there was OJR ones, that were contest prizes (Hammer Rock for example). So they were mail-in items, that's it ?

Seeing Crisis' Twitter post about their collection of Zippos was awesome, cause I couldn't find a picture of the Gojulas last time I looked. I just wanted to confirm for sure, there was a Shield Liger too, wasn't there? Does anyone have a pic of the design?

According to Crisis' website and this blog, there were only those three, and it sounds like the Gojulas sold out pretty quickly.

Going back to naming -- Blade Liger BS, Command Wolf IS, etc., is it Special, Specifications, or Service? I seem to recall most of those being used somewhere but am having trouble tracking down which actually applies here. If they are all in use, which seems to be most common, or are there any particular Zoids that break from the norm?

This is one of those things that suffers from a lack of official English spellings. Generally the S is for 仕様 ("shiyou"), which should technically be "specification" but sometimes gets translated as "special". I tend to cheat and use "spec." ...And of course, don't expect consistency in the official stuff >_> The HMM series translates 仕様 as "Special" for the Gun Snipers and Lightning Saix, "Custom" for Irvine's CW, and "Ver." for everything else.

Using Spec. will work well, I think~ But thanks for the confirmation! I know the HMM stuff changes constantly, so I try to stick mostly to older model materials. Not that they always stay 100% consistent either, but. So many questions. #1. For confirmation sake, I'm assuming the Energy Liger PS in Infinity is just 'Pierce Spec.' to differentiate it from the Red Energy Liger (which is treated as the default?) #2. The Wiki lists Strike Claw x4 for Command Wolf, but the box doesn't. I'm assuming this was just added in because, well, it does have claws, but is there any official weapon list that includes / names them? The anime profile also doesn't list them. #3. Does Command Wolf EM have any battle story content? Just asking since the kit itself doesn't have its own battle story info, if I recall? After it was mentioned that EM is a game coined term I realize I can't remember if I've seen story info for it anywhere.

The wiki probably went by one of those, my guess would be HMM #3 Fanbook volume 2 had the red one's stats? There's the limited HMM model as well but I don't know if that's got new content or just a copy-paste from standard command wolf's stuff Edit for HMM's claws

The HMM Zoids tend to have new / revised stories and weapon info, so I'll probably keep the strike claws listing for just their versions. Thanks!
I was glancing at the Fan Book page for the Command Wolf EM. Is this information generally correct, or did auto translate eat some of it? What I glimpsed was that:
That is just a summary, not an attempt at translation, but I just wanted to know if any of it is incorrect?
Unfortunately I don't think any English translators have taken on the full Rebirth Century.

"...A team of Command Wolves took a suicidal stand in a defensive battle against the Empire, so that other units could escape. Many of the troops were wiped out but the surviving wolves were captured by the Imperial Army. Some of those captured wolves were dismantled to examine the internal circuitry. They also took into consideration the weakness of the armor. The remaining wolves were repainted red and put into the Imperial Special Forces."
Remember the age-old question "Where did Irvine get his LC (long canon) for his CWIS" ? We know when: (just after he used that Missle Launcher) after that he never used the regular Helic beam-pod anymore and got a long one instead. Irvine could have gotten one of the long guns in the Guylos hanger and that one belongs to the Empire Commandwolf unit. No wonder why CWIS doesn't belong to any faction.

One of the things that always cracked me up in CC / GF was Irvine being a good guy. He had a good heart, of course, and always wanted to help the good guys. Then there are moments of "Hey, doesn't anybody else see that guy stealing? Breaking into that military base? Carrying bombs? No? Ok."

I was wondering if anyone could clarify something for me? Most of the English translations for Panzer list 連装 as Shot but auto translate says Twin. I am just wondering which is correct?
AZ 2 Shot Missile Pod x2 sounds better than AZ 2 Twin Missile Pod x2 which is very redundant. I’d rather go with what’s accurate, though.

Also wondering if anyone has any Zoids to add to the following units? Not all are taken literally, it's for a personal project. If a pilot belongs to the unit and pilots a specific Zoid, I'll probably count it, even if they weren't in the unit at the time.
Blitz Orbit - Heldigunner DT - Death Stinger - Gilvader - Grounchar - Gungyalado - Saber Tiger - Zeke Dober
Dream Dragon - Drill Molga - Merda - Molga - Storch
Eisen Dragoon - Berserk Fürher - Dark Spiner - Demantis - Diloforce - Dragoon Nest - Elephander - Glaive Quama - Grounchar - Gun Tiger - Killer Dome - Liger Zero X - Maccurtis - Sturm Führer
Leomasters: - Blade Liger - Blade Liger AB - Blade Liger Mirage - Infinity Leo - Liger Zero - Liger Zero Schneider - Liger Zero Panzer - Shield Liger DCS-J Machinery - Garantula - Garius - Pteras - Spiker
Tactical Masters: - Dibison - Double Sworder - Hound Soldier - Liger Zero - Mad Thunder - Shadow Fox
